Post up a video walk around and lets see if this is legit!

If its fake, that photo-shopping is ON POINT! It seems legit but why release something like this today

This must have been so difficult to do. Any specifics? Id love to come by and do this to my car as well. Which Photoshop Version did you use? Who donated the S65 engine? Google.com or some other BMW website? Please provide details!

Hey guys!

Tom told me he'd be posting pictures today (thanks for posting!) - this is my car, and it is definitely real!

The swap had been well underway well before I had even received the car. An E92 was totaled about a year ago, and I contacted Tom shortly thereafter to discuss what would be required to swap the S65 into a newer chassis. Tom was confident that it was possible, but that it would definitely require considerable fabrication work to reinforce the front subframe, as he knew he would need to cut up the rad support in the M4.

Here's the old car after getting rear ended:

Here's my new car shortly after I picked her up!

As Tom mentioned, the engine is still relatively stock, but I'm working with him to develop a single turbo setup which we will add once I rebuild the bottom end for forced induction.

And keep on the lookout for another update from Tom! The S55 out of the M4 is currently making its way into something special!

Loving this and interested to see/ hear more about this car as time goes by

I think this is a best of both worlds scenario as i don't like the engine in the new cars, even though i think the interior on the newer is better
my hatred for the F80 platform though has to do also wit the front o the car which looks terrible with the headlights running into the grille

Lol, minute he said turbo the S65 I was like total April fools. Gintani is the only one successful at doing so (I rode in it) and it took them years to develop; not to mention it seems they aren't releasing it.

There is absolutely no reason for turbocharging an S65 to be any different from turbocharging any other engine. Forced induction is forced induction. The difficulties arise from packaging constraints (which is why I believe Gintani went to a whack rear mounted setup), and the fact that the S65 has 12:1 compression which is too high to actually run the amount of boost you'd want to with a turbocharger.

I'll be rebuilding my motor with 8.5:1 and the engine bay of the M4 offers ample space in the engine bay for a turbocharger. There's nothing "magical" about Gintani's setup though.

Both Tom and I are confident that we'll be able to get this done!

Because I needed to remove the side marker gills off an E90.

Let's not hijack Tom's thread though - he'll post some more pics soon. If you want more verification feel free to PM me directly.
