I dont mind not being able to drive my car for little bit. What i really dont like its driving loaner cars. They handle like crap, sound like crap, slow etc..

I sometimes cannot believe my M3 came from the same company as some of these base 3 series cars. IMO you have a BMW M model, then there is everything else. (BMW)

OP: this is what I would do in a situation like this. Go rent a pickup truck, buy a mattress, buy snacks, fruits and drinks and head to the dealer and talk to the manager. He should be able to sneak you in after hours and set you a 10x10 sleeping area right besides your M3. Tip: don't let any one touch the queen without your permission. One last thing, call your wife to bring you more food. This situation is not easy to handle. Call the Doc to visit you if needed. Lol.

As soon as I get out my office today, I'm stopping by Enterprise for one of their finest flatbed pickup.

It's completely different from the m3 in every way possible. There's a low whirring noise as it accelerates but it does so violently as the wall of torque hits you. Seriously this thing is QUICK! I was told its the fastest 0-30 mph vehicle Bmw makes and we've all seen the m3 get smoked off the line by the i3. It also feels so futuristic and makes all traditional gas cars feel archaic.

This would be a great car for someone with a garage that's commuting less than 80 miles round trip. It's such a cool, fun, and different car to drive. I can only imagine how fun the i8 drives..

The M3 has very similar characteristics to a i8/i3. My M3 also drives short distances and the battery requires to be plugged in every few days to keep a charge. And when I hammer the throttle, the gasoline engine kicks in and it gets poor gas mileage.

Very similar to an i8 or Chevy Volt, I didn't get any government tax credit and am scoffed at when I park in the low emissions parking spots
You're on a roll today Flying Ace! You got me laughing and lightened my day!

I figured I was getting my car back today, but my SA called and said I need a new throttle actuator. I guess another day in the 328 GT.

Has been to MRF Engineering for all maintenance and mods. Fortunately nothing has gone wrong to require a warranty claim (which by the way I would just pay to have MRF fix it). Malek has taken care of this car as if it was his own. There is great comfort in that.

I wish everyone could have an MRF Engineering close by.
Longboarder, if you don't mind me asking, what is it that you do for a living?
Supercharged M3, Porsche, and paying for service that can be obtained for free....I'm in the wrong profession.

I thought the politically correct term was "exotic dancer"...

I can't wait to get back into my M3. I've been traveling for work the past few days and had the 'pleasure' of having a camero as a rental car. It really makes you appreciate the M3. I land in about 40 min and can't wait to fire my baby up!!'

For once a thread naturally led to stripper talk without my direction.

There are some hazards tho. Lately I've been ending up in a lot of BMW trunks. Luckily I'm familiar with the fold-down rear seat latch.
