As in post another FS thread warning buyers?

How were you able to track down the original thread?
Quick search of the original owner's name on the title and any association with bimmer forums using keywords. Fifth google image result. Confirmed it was the same car when the picture matched along with carfax, mileage, and title.
When I buy stuff online, I usually do a search of the seller's username, email, phone number, forum postings/threads...etc. An email will lead to a username or other personal info, which then leads to every kind of forum or other usernames. Everything online can be dug up which is fine if you're honest but be careful if you're shady!

That car doesn't look that bad, it is mostly cosmetic. I wouldn't buy it for myself but I don't see the point of posting it. Yeah the car needed a rear quarter panel, front and rear bumpers maybe an exhaust which could be had for 100$ on these forums and small other pieces. At that price it's not bad at all, what did you expect for 30k?

Can we throw in a "you get what you pay for" and call it a day?

I bought my e46 m3 on Craigslist. Single woman in her 40s. Single owner. San Diego. Even she managed to lie about the condition. It's an epidemic.

My view is, once Carfax says title is salvaged...I would look elsewhere.

No point in wasting time figuring out what happened. Can't be a good sight.
