Best place to purchase throttle actuators?

Well, I guess it's time to replace them (78k miles). Everything was perfect this morning. Drove my car about 20 minutes for work, parked it for few hours, and when I started the car again, saw bunch of warning lights on dash board and the infamous, engine malfunction + DSC + blah blah blah.. Took my car to dealership for diagnose and they think it could be the t.actuators. They are still trying to pinpoint the issue at the moment but I'm gonna try to prepare for the worst.

Where would be the best place to purchase these parts? Cheapest one I found was from dealer in ATL for $874 each.

Any thoughts?

Try ecstuning and/or turnermotorsports to see if they are cheaper. I haven't seen many deals, my indy was able to get 2 for $800 each through his channel.

That's not bad.
How much did they charge for labor?

I replaced them; he ordered 1 through my Zurich warranty and I paid cash for the other ( replaced the passenger even though it didn't throw codes).

There is a thread here, and a bunch of us added some pics. Really disappointing how they are constructed and the heat they are exposed to as well.

Bought both mine from here. They are a dealer.... I bought 2 of them for $750 each shipped.
You might try calling them and see if they will cut you a deal on 2 or purchase outside of Ebay.

Below is the info of who I dealt with.

Buyer beware on purchasing on eBay ....many are selling used units that are F"ed up already.

Also, be sure it's with a dealer or someone who can honor the 2 year BMW Manufacturer Warranty when you make the purchase.

Good Luck!!!

That's a heck of deal. I just placed order from PSI for similar price.

For others, don't pay $900-$1000 (local dealer quote).. If yours go south, do some search on interweb or use information from this thread. Feel free to PM me. Thank you all for your help

I bought mine from ebay for $700ish from a dealer. I think they realized they were selling them too cheap and raised the prices later on.
