2011.5 OEM angel eye retrofit
Sorry if this is a repost, did not see a thread on point:
I have a loaner 2011 328Xi coupe while my car is being serviced. The angel eyes on this thing are as bright and bluish white as you could possibly want and it's OEM! Does anyone know if I could easily retrofit this onto my 2008 E92 M3? I would prefer to have OEM products when it comes to headlights and would not otherwise do an angel eye upgrade. I'm hoping it's as easy as swapping bulbs with the ones found in OEM 2011 non-M E92 coupes. Please help. Thanks in advance.

The e9x LCI headlights are completely different than the e9x m3's. It's not as simple as a bulb swap.

interesting. So after-market might be my only [cost-effective] option then, huh?

I actually don't like the new OEM Angels. They are too blue/purple.

The LUX are fantastic! I am still curious to know if the internal of the LCI AE can be retrofitted back. The housing is a different but the projectors and AE ring can't be that different, right? (maybe I am just too clueless) Just curious. cheers.

To be more specific, only LCI E92s and E93s have the LED angel eyes. The LCI E90 still has halogen angels.

There is couple of people in Seattle including myself who has the LED OSS setup. I personally like the OSS setup better than the OEM better. Looks brighter and better!

The new LUX solution is awesome! Very simple plug and play, so easy to install.
OSS is nice too, but very expensive (and it involves sending in your headlamps to be dismantled). If you are looking to go "true" OEM, be prepared to shell out tons of money to modify the bumper and probably other things. The cost effectiveness is stupid. Just go with LUX and call it a day!
