I don't think it is even close to a good deal.
57,000 plus 23,000= 80,000.
That 08 M3 probably did not cost 80K new.
I'd go to Edmonds or carsoup or autotrader and see what you need to buy an 08 M3 without trade to determine what they really will give you for your car.

I'd guess the 08 M3 is only worth ~52-55K
subtract ~22K for your car and you should pay ~ 30-33K tops. IMHO!

coupe or sedan?
like he said bad deal
you could probably get 30 for your car or maybe a little less if you want to sell it quick
and an m3 for 50ish

My car equipped similar to yours but an 09, bought with 695 miles on it for $54k. They are low on the trade and high on the M3.

you should ask if the M3 also comes with 10k of cash in the trunk.

Seriously, this is not close to being a deal, plus he's reaming you on your trade, your 335 should be in the 30k range? (check ebay and autotrader)

You are paying $10k for a cpo warranty for a car that still has quite a bit left on the wrranty clock. Get that price down. Plus they are ripping you on the trade, get a value from Carmax and see if they can get you a better deal.

Horrible deal for you and a dream for the dealer.

Do some homework and find the market value of both cars. Edmunds is a good tool for that, there are others as well.

i dont believe hes giving you 23000 for your car. my 2008 335xi with 18000 miles had a book of 24000 in 2009. maybe there giving you 17000. but even so its not a good deal unless hes giving you the M3 for 57000 minus the 23000? so its 34k for you. then id say go for it

I assume the OP means $57k less their trade of $23k, so $34k out of pocket? Still not a very good deal. Like someone else said they are adding about $10k on the car for the CPO warranty. and a couple of grand short on your trade. All CPO means is that they are adding an extended warranty and maintenance program on to the car. You can buy any used BMW from a BMW dealer without it being a CPO and add that on yourself. Should cost you around $7k to cover it 6 years and 100k miles from original in service date.

I think we need a clarification.

OP which is it? Your car plus $34K or your car plus $57K?
