Agreed, I get rid of them both and get a GT3 or GT3 RS.

Porsche Pros Small, sporty, light, direct, surprisingly comfy Super car fast, linear power delivery throaty exhaust, amazing steering feel, spasm+ = amazing handling Porsche Cons A bit twitchy/nervous as you approach it's limits exhaust is nice but nothing like the performance exhaust on my m3 Brakes have excellent feel but don't feel as safe as the m3 Not as high tech as my m3 m3 pros High rpm fun, engine tone changes beautifully as you approach redline, Telepathic throttle response, snaps your neck more than the porsche, dual clutch feels less like an auto, superior technology (comfort access, idrive ect) M3 cons When i drive my m3 after the porsche i feel like im driving an x5. high awkward seating position, big, heavy, light uncommunicative steering at slow speeds, very sensitive artificial feeling brakes I suppose its the dct, v8 engine, and creature comforts in the m3 that is making it so difficult for me but i need to make a decision soon, can not keep both. |

I say just keep the 2011. It new, reliable and will have a bit more room in the back. The P is a nice car but if you need to get ride of one I would keep the M. Just my 2 cents. Good luck.

Thanks for your thoughts but keep in mind that the porsche is a cpo and is under full warranty until 2015 a couple months more than my m3. Plus i have researched and apparently the 997s are pretty reliable cars.

Why not ask for a price you would be happy losing either one at and see which one sells the best and fastest. That should help you make up your mind.

Definitely the Porsche. Having driven the 2010 Carrera 4S, it is unbelievable piece of machinery. It's also much more reliable than my M3. The sound, and the way it uses it's power is also amazing (m3 has the same). I mean it is two cylinders less, but bloody hell it goes.
The Carrera also handles like no other, I'm not to sure what car can take turns like the Carrera in it's price range.

How about this:
How much did the M3 cost you? How much can you get for it now? Porsche, same questions as above.

Got my m3 before the Porsche. Leasing the m3 and bought the Porsche soon after. I had someone who was gonna take the lease over but I baked put last minute.

sell the porsche and keep the m3 til the lease is over. As nice as Porsches are, they look very similar with only minor tweak each generation so you are not giving up much look and driving dynamic wise over the year (maybe). On the other hand, this is the last NA, V8 M3 (for the foreseeable future). might as well enjoy it while you have it. Can always pick up a newer/nicer porsche later with more high tech comfort features if that's what you like. just my .02.
