Gloss black wheels make black rubber tires look brown IMO. You can see it in some of those pictures...

Other than that, looks nice to me! Love the interior stitching.

They should call it the "M3 Black Edition"

I think it's a bit odd that they are doing this, I don’t think those upgrades are appealing enough call it a special edition. It's an M3 with add-ons that doesn’t really make it that much more special than a regular M3. On top of that, those are add-ons that are not unique, meaning you can easily add them yourself aftermarket and do as much or as little as you want.

My own opinion, not a big fan of blacking items out in general although my initial impression was that I liked it.

Overall just doesn’t seem like the right thing for BMW to do for the M3.

In the spirit of the M3, they should have made the special edition with performance in mind, like the M3 CSL. The current limited M3 edition is the wrong direction. At least it's only got a limited run. Unless there was performance gains included, I'm guessing the M3 Limited edition will not hold any advantage from a resell or collector perspective. My two cents is all.

With all that said, my favorite items is the blue stitching on the seat and the lowered stance. The rims would be great as a second set to use for track days too.

People are complaining about the extra $$$$ ??? The 19" wheel package is an extra $1900 option all on its own...

I think it looks great and definitely worth the extra cash.

What kind of price tag is that? Black mirrors, grilles, wheels and some contrast stitching? Oh, right, a 10mm drop. Should be $2,000 US dollars. Tops. And that's going by typical rip-you-off OEM standards.

It's a waste of money if you plan on modding your car. You can easily paint your mirrors, get a nice set of coilovers, new wheels, and some matte black grilles and still save cash.

That is, unless you have to have that stitching or that blue paint...which I admit is amazing looking.
Yea seriously, but BMW is smart enough to capitalize on the popular mods and bring them mainstream to people who might not know of these mods outside of a forum.

Don´t like the mirrors, the stitching is nice but the colors inside make me dizzy. Not my cup of tea.

What many are curious about is WHY it isn't coming to the US. The obvious first answer probably is 'recertification'. But the better answer would be which change(s) trigger that. AFAIK only the 10mm drop, no? Or could it be that BMW knew we wouldn't pay their premium for only subtle changes??? It'd be nice to know what was the decision to kill it here.

I personally don't care for anything other than the stitiching. The wheels are our standard 19s, but painted black, which is probably cheaper than painting and polishing them on our cars. Mirrors look tacky IMO, and not more expensive than body color either. Same with black grilles and other paint colors (2 of them unique). Again, only change most of us seem to care was the stitching, which doesn't add any cost. Nice way to make an extra fat $5K of profit .

I can't understand how Porsche can get away charging $2K to paint wheels black when it costs the same as silver . Or rather, why people pay for that, but it happens. My guess is BMW would have sold many of those cars here, but we'll never know. Good day.

I would buy it if I am not going to "invest" in major aftermarket products. But, the only reason I wouldn't purchase it: it's a coupe.

I was at the Porsche dealer today and I saw some nice details that this limited edition M3 could have used...colored dials, perforated leather steering wheel. Laminated M logo in the dials.....I'm sorry I won't get this one even for regular price...

x2, I prefer the sedan, would prefer a wagon actually if it existed. As for the cost, as someone else mentioned if you think about the additional cost of the wheels, it's not much more, and those seats are awesome...

I don't know about you but I spent plenty more than that on my wheels, grilles and the drop alone. For someone who doesn't want to mess with all that this would be a good option. I'm not a big lover of blue but have to say this looks nice, the yellow would be really nice too. Still, even though a lot of the modded M's here on this forum pretty much look the same its not like they are on every street corner. I'm in the chicago subs and in the city and I haven't seen one like mine yet.

I was really hoping that they would bring this to US so that I can get the Dakar Yellow I've been wanting....

Between the late LCI for coupes and lack of Dakar Yellow..... I am honestly tired of waiting.

I plan to track the car, thus, prefer to spend money instead on brakes, rims, tires, and suspension to name a few. A lot more bang for you buck than mere eye candy. JUst my feeling.

So I'm assuming it's reasonable if somebody wants to have that style (+about 15% M tax).
Yea it would cost that to have a already made car modified, but from BMW building the car at the factory, they should charge no more then 2 grand US.

meh, i was expecting a bit more, especially for the money.

most of those type of exterior aesthetic mods you can just do yourself for much less. the 10mm drop is hardly anything. the way the mirrors were done looks ugly to me, they would look better full black. lastly, it only comes in limited color choices.

but i do like the interior and monte carlo blue is really nice!

bmw needs to revamp the csl for e9x m3.
