Don't take this the wrong way, but that person is probably "you". It's all about how you approach the deal in my experience, although some dealerships are harda$$es and simply won't play ball--they'll sit on their cars as they know some sucker will come along and pay MSRP....
Here's a "method" I've used with good success. If they won't bite, move on. (Note: you don't need a "wife" to do this, you can fake it too.... ). Good luck! |

Should be able to get around $1000 over invoice without much haggling....I did. There are others that have got $500-$700 over, but I wasn't able to find someone local that'd go that low.

I was offered $1000 over invoice from 4 dealers here in So. Cal.....I popped a few e-mails to the dealers...and they came back with a few yes's without negotiation.
Then again..when I told them my Z4M lease is coming to an end this August probably helped me present myself as a serious customer ready to do the deal. |

I got $500 over invoice for my '09 at Ruznak in Westlake Village. I worked with Chris (I forget his last name), the fleet manager.

Must be different on the west coast. Over here on the east, you can get a '11 at invoice without hassle.

He's not a service advisor to deal with your "issues" which who knows what they could possibly be. He's a solid salesman, who understands market, the M brand and gives out $600 - $1,200 over invoice deals all day long. It's not fair for you to burn one of the very few decent dealers in this town because you have a stick up your ass. Nick Alexander is the best dealership in town, they've treated my friends, family and myself like gold for the past 12 years. From loaners delivered to the office, flatbed pickups, the best deals in town, to a stellar service department which shits all over BMW Beverly Hills and Santa Monica Beverly Hills - not to mention the super-crooks at South Bay, Century and Century West.

kaykay, he might be nice to you and your family and friends. But was a total dick to me. Zack, whatever the fuck his name is, that work in services at Nick was a total douchebag. I don't want to get into details, but I already file a customer report against them. Maybe you're lucky, they been good to you. I still haven't got my M3 mats. Nice promise right? Whatever, got my own fucking mats.

duc, call the General Manager over there and have him deal with your issues.
I haven't heard one complaint from the 15+ friends that have bought cars from them in the past few months. I personally don't deal with anyone but the GM himself when it comes to my deals, however, all my friends deal with the usual suspects over there. I also remember floor mats being out of stock for a few guys, a buddy of mine just got his after 55 days of picking up his car. Strange...

All this over a towhook cover? Jeebus. You didn't get your M3 mats because I have a quote from an email you sent me after your rant that says: "Will, I hope you win your M competition if you haven't already won. You can keep the M3 mats. I'll take care of the mats and the tow hook cover issue (no, I'm not going to go around and steal tow hook covers) myself. Thank for everything you've done for me. You won't be hearing from me for a while." An - you have a beautiful car - enjoy it. Tow hook covers aren't covered under warranty - and you shouldn't bad mouth me because of that. Regardless, my reputation speaks for itself, and your comments look so out of place in respect to the rest of my happy customer base that you look like the idiot - not me |
