Wow this guy is a shit head on the z06 he is a true idiot. But I got to say if this shit head can drive like that and the z06 still managed everything, the z06 an awesome car. If I was to list all his bad driving, I would be here all night writing. Goes to show anyone can drive with all the nannies on. Literally saved their lives.

It says a lot that an unexperienced idiot in a Z06 was just as fast as a pro racing driver (according to the youtube description) in the GT3. Slower and more expensive; the classic Porsche recipe. I'll take the Z06 with Z07 package. And the extra 50k I save will pay for A LOT of trackday fees

To be fair, the traffic was hindering the Porsche which allowed the Vette to catch up and if I were in that Porsche driver's shoes I would have waved him by the 3rd time the Vette driver was nearly pulling up to his side...simply too dangerous and I don't think the Porsche driver was a pro-racer. What kind of HDPE is this? At a BMWCCA or PCA or well run driving school, the Z06 driver would have been told to pull off the track and ripped a new one by the instructor.

Anytime drivers of different skill levels share the same track at the same time, recipe for disaster....

Garage List
Instructor with open face helmet and no communicator. Something fishy with this DE organization.

Are you in there Alex? Lol.

The gt3 is a member on here and his driving was a little frantic knowing that the guy behind him might hit him at any moment. And yes he was hitting traffic allowing z06 to catch up. He eventually let him pass because it was too risky.

The guy in the z06 said he's getting a viper acr now because z06 was too slow!

GT3 is always among the fastest and even fastest of the day sometimes. Good driver. Shitty situation.

The youtube description is ridiculous and shows the f'd up mentality these two(driver and weird asian dude pointing left and right) bring to an hpde.

One of comments on YouTube said, z06 is less than 100k, comes with your personal nanny, and tons of American muscle!

I think that's just his sidekick. He's the one who posted the video! That clearly is not an instructor.

I remember this guy/car exactly. He was in my run group that weekend. That video pretty much sums it up. Exactly what I thought. Thankfully he was running with all the TC/nannys otherwise it would be very dangerous.

If i'm not mistaken this is the same guy.

I also catch him in the roval as well. lol

One reason I wish some of these manual only cars, were still manual only. Weed out some of these poser driver's thinking they are Mario Andretti. Makes me sick to see him driving like an asshat, just sitting there flipping paddles like he is playing Gran Turismo with damage control on.

Porsche driver didnt look like a pro driver to me. Vette driver definitely had TC on, or he would have crushed that car many times. Bad driver +very fast car=prescription for disaster. I was surprized at the end that he didnt even spin once. That goes to show how well balanced that car is. Was he losing power on the straights though?

Poor instructor is right. I've only watched the first 3 minutes and the guy is doing nothing but pointing to where he wants the student to be on track -- and he's using the wrong arm, which means he probably isn't even in the student's field of vision. But more importantly than that, the instructor isn't even looking at this guy's wild steering inputs and throttle technique. Of course lack of a communicator means there's only so much the instructor can say in the first place, but that's just further evidence of a poor instructor (and/or poorly run DE group) rather than an excuse for the lack of more comprehensive instruction.

If that were my student, I also would not have let him trail a GT3 that closely for that long, especially given his apparent skill level. If the GT3 isn't giving a pass for whatever reason (probably because he knows he'll need it right back in the corners), then I would tell that student to hang back and let him get away. Sitting on somebody's tail like that, especially going into a braking zone where the guy in front may well have more stopping ability than you, is not only a recipe for an accident, it's also less enjoyable than just hanging back for a while and then having some open track in front of you.

But here are my personal favorites in this video for those who don't want to watch the whole thing:

- 5:35: Full throttle in a 650hp car with the wheel turned 100 degrees and another car less than a quarter car length directly in front of him.

- 5:55 to 6:20: Preoccupation with passing the GT3 caused him to again go full throttle mid-corner multiple times (once directly behind the GT3) and take a momentum-destroying line that even had him hitting a cone. And then the priceless, absurd and completely unearned "victory rant" on the front straight.

- 6:44: Takes his hand off the wheel while doing 120 MPH...to honk his horn!! And even if there were a good reason to do that on track, this wasn't one.

- 13:20 to 13:25: While understeering, cranks the wheel harder hoping that somehow physics would stop applying to him, then cranks hard the other direction right away, and THEN buries the throttle while still making huge steering corrections on corner exit.

- 14:57: Full throttle with the wheel turned more than 180 degrees!!
