Did the bearings at 143k when I bought it and they were trash, glad I did. Well sorted now.

Yikes. Top shell on cylinder #5 is shot. Glad you caught it in time, and very quickly after purchasing. Well done.

Not too bad yet. Did the RBs at 56k, DCT Service and full brakes at 64k. Other than that, it's been basic maintenance only

2011 E92 Comp currently at 238,XXX 2nd owner since 2013. Purchased with 25,XXX and I've done RB's twice now. It was my daily until about 6 months ago, so I probably won't hit 300,000 for a few years now. 9 years later and it still puts a smile on my face every time I get in it. I will run it until the motor needs some internal rebuilding and hopefully go stroker at that point. My favorite thing about this car is that you have to wring it out to use the power and the sound while doing that is just music to my ears! It's been stock the whole time except a KW HAS kit at two weeks into the relationship.

Sitting at 157k now. I bought it 4 years ago with 120k miles solely because it had a V8, 4 doors, and three pedals - never owned a BMW before and was actually looking for an RS4.
It's been my daily driver since and it's a hoot - just love driving this thing. I was putting on about 250 miles a week pre-Covid, and now that's cut in half with new work arrangement. Only gripe is that at work I had covered parking, and now it's at home 5 days a week the Florida sun is taking liberties with my clear coat. Looking to wet sand the paint and finally throw on my Euro bumper in the garage. Also OG bearings…for now. |
