Anyone use 305's on ZCP's?

Thinking of 305 Nitto NT05's and 265 NT05's on my OEM ZCP rims for track use. Can't seem to find anyone who ran them to check 100% fitment.

Anyone here have an idea? I see most people run a 295 but the NT05 only comes in 305/35/19.

I've seen people run 305's on them (PSS I believe), just not specifically the NT05.

I believe size for size PSS tend to be wider too.

I'm on zcp suspension with zcp wheels running a 295/30, and I didn't see any rubbing at a recent track visit. 305/35 is significantly bigger and I would be a little hesitant to run it.
Not sure if this helps, but I can take close pics of mine for you to look at clearances.

Really? I have yet to see anyone run a 305-35 on a ZCP wheel. Point me to the pictures so I can see them.......Phil

I know the 295's fit for sure, my buddy runs them, but I wanted to go with an NT05 and they don't make a 295.

I'm running 275/30 and 295/30 PSS on E90 ZCP all stock. No rub up front, slight rub rear.

Tire shop had a tough time getting those 295s on the rear rims; I'm fairly certain they would have given up had I tried anything wider ...

Also, Tire Rack has rim size range for each tire. They don't list Nitto, but for 305/30 PSS, they require 10.5-11.5" rim width.

Nitto web site states 10-12" rims for their 305/35, but you'll likely get a TON of rubbing with that tall+wide of a tire out back on stock rims.

Well, you can forget all that. The new car is fitted with a turbocharged straight six. Turbocharging? In an M car? That’s like putting gravy on an ice cream.

Oh these ZCP rims in general are a pain to mount anything on.

275 in the front? Jeeze man thats a biggun. I might just have to do that.

How slight of rub do you mean? No damage/paint burns I assume?

Figure I can do it with stock ZCP suspension setup?

I forgot to mention that I'm on zcp suspension with this setup.

Never ran this setup without camber plates, so I can't confidently answer.
However, I don't think there would be an issue.
I'm not running any spacers, by the way.

You do NOT need camber plates, as long as you can INITIALLY accept a slight rub occasionally. No rub up front with 275/30 and slight in rear with 295/30 PSS only over long cycle dips where the suspension settles a lot, like a dip in the highway. There is a small protrusion on the inside of the rear fender where it meets the bumper cover. That protrusion is about the size of the end joint of a person's pinky finger. Anyway, it touches the outside shoulder of the rear tire, just next to the tread. That little bump wore off over the course of a couple thousand miles with no visible damage to the tire (there WAS a small smear of that plastic on the tire that I would occasionally pick/peel off, but my family didn't even notice it - it's not dramatic).

I would absolutely do it again, and it doesn't surprise me at all that adding some camber eliminates it. I thought about doing that, but wanted to see if it would self-resolve, which it did.

OP - I think I said this before to you but 305 is a hard tire to fit in the rear. I wouldn't try it with the zcp especially if you're going 305/35/19.

On a side note do you plan on doing any suspension mods? Like lowering springs or coilovers. If so, you may want to take that future mod into account before settling on a tire size/brand.

That's something I'm doing right now. I was all set on running 295/30/19 R888's on zcp wheels out back but now that I have a set of swift springs I'm concerned it may be rub city...

I think I recall somebody on here saying they have AD08 in 305s on an E92 ZCP, but my understanding is the AD08 runs slightly narrower than PSS tires do, so it's not that much wider than a PSS 295/30.

I believe I was one of the first (at least on here) to do the 275/295 PSS combo on an E92 ZCP, and that was only after knowing for sure 295s would fit in the rear after a member with an E90 did it, and Phil (M Ryder) did a 265/295 combo on his E92. I couldn't see going any wider than those sizes.

Unless you can find somebody else that specifically has used Nitto NT05s on ZCP, you may want to punt on that idea and just use 295s in another brand, unless you're fine with rolling the dice and being the guinea pig

Ad08s run wider and have square shoulder rather than rounded like pss.

I stand corrected. Just did a search for the guy running 305s on ZCP and they were actually RE-11s (305/30/19), which do appear to run slightly narrower than PSS. Here's the thread, it's long but look for posts by member RenoE92M3. He has some pics in there too:

Again, a 305-35 will be a stretch (no pun intended) for a 10" wheel. My personal thoughts are this.....I've seen many suspension set ups and tire combos, but I think the best daily set up for the E9x series is the 275-30 and 295-30 set up. It's the perfect fit and leaves just a small amount of room for suspensions mods. My current set up with the Swift springs is maxed out. I can't go any lower on my stance or any wider on tires. The added grip is sooooo worth it.................Phil

Thanks guys!

Going with 275/295 PSS.

No suspension mods, because where I park has a very harsh dip and any lower would cause my lip to hit the ground.

Picking up a set of 19x11 and 19x9 HRE P40SC's as well, but they have 295 PSS on them already. Plan to track on my ZCP's as I don't want to accidentally curb an HRE!

Bumping this with a new question...

New rims I picked up are an E22 rear 19x11 super deep concave.

Anyone tried to fit a 315/25/19 Nitto invo on those? I'm thinking it should clear due to the invo's rounded corners, but don't want to order some and then be stuck with them.

I run 285 on my rears. I was going for a wider look with traction as a plus. Honestly you could put a 295 on, but it's not going to look as wide as you think. Because the tire is not stretching the rubber out.

Even if the zcp could fit a 305 is not going to be what you think.

I knew someone, who ran a 275 on a wide rim and it looked a lot much better than my setup. Wider
