12mm spacers will be just perfect, 15mm could be slightly less than perfect depending on the look that you are looking for (just flush or plumb look).

Yes, 3mm can make a difference...

No need for the longer lugs, the kits come already equipped.

Can spacers cause any negative effect on your car? Can it harm the suspension or reduce the longevity of OEM components?

Not at all, the thicknesses are very minimal to cause any issues. I wouldn't recommend anything larger than 18mm due to lug shank length.

The 10/15 combo seems to work just fine.

Plenty of evidence out there shows increased wear on wheel bearings.

Based on the pic of the white car above I went with 15F/10R on my stock 19s. I think this is absolutely perfect. Just lines up the outer edge of both tires with the edge of the fender bulges. I suppose if you want a really aggressive look you might consider 15R but for me the 15/10 combo is perfect.

I think 15 front/12 rear looks the best from the pics I have seen.

You do realize how small 2mm is, right (12mm vs. 10mm rear)? It is about 80 thousandths of an inch or about small fraction over 1/16th of an inch (for you non metric dudes). In other words I seriously doubt you can see the difference on a car.

Agreed. I would be amazed if someone could pick this out based on a forum pic.

The pictures from Tom above on 18s are what you need to see. Recall that the overall outside diameter of the OEM 18s and 19s is almost exactly identical. Other then the appearance of the rim itself and the lesser sidewall height, from a width perspective the 15/10 combo looks identical on 19s as on 18s.

Thanks......for pointing that out and reminding me of the obvious. Good looking out.

Actually, 2 mm could be the difference in rubbing or not depending on the size/brand of tire used. Sometimes this is not as obvious until the wrong size of spacers is bought and installed...

So before making any decision of getting a particular size of spacers it might be wise to take also in consideration the tire sizes used -or planned to be used - as well as the desired looks.

Agreed. My comment was not that 2mm does not matter in terms of clearance but 2mm really does not matter VISUALLY.

I have the stock 19s as well, and I went with 15 front and rear. The rear looks perfect with this amount, although the fronts could come out a little more to match the flush look of the rears. Ideally, I would have done 20F/15R.

I know a lot of people have 15mm rear spacers and say they have no problems and others rub with 12mm rear spacers. What I want to know is what is the largest rear spacer size I can go without any rubbing under any condition, even with a huge load in the rear. In other words, I want the rear wheels to be able to tuck without rubbing.

I think 15mm is out of the question since some people rub with stock OEM 19's and 12mm rear spacers. 10mm sounds like it isn't a problem though. Anyone know? I have looked at all the threads on spacers and haven't seen anyone say that the rear wheels can tuck under the fender without rubbing with a Xmm size spacer.

For what its worth, I'm running 15 front and 12 rear, OEM tires, stock suspension, E90 with no rubbing, and plenty of room to spare.

Personally, I think the 15/12 set-up is perfect. These spacers will be for sale in a couple weeks, btw.
