Michelin Pilot SuperSport 275/35/19?
Hey guys -
Ive tried the search function with no luck. I currently have the Michelin's 275/35/19 in the rear and wanted to see if I can change to 285/35/19, with no fitment/rubbing issues. My car is bone stock, no competition package, with the 220 wheels. All help would be highly appreciated! |

Tire widths aren't terribly standardized. I'd be willing to bet (using nothing than my gut) that Pirelli's 285 is probably narrower than Michelin's 285 in the 285/30/19 fitment on the GTS.

Per tirerack.com Pirelly P Zero Corsa 285/30-19 (M3 GTS tire) has an 11 inch tread width. This is more than most 285/30-19 or 285/35-19 on tire rack. Just browse through the specs and look at tread width. For comparison PSS at 295/30-19 has an 11.5 inch tread width. Tirerack lists a 10 inch rim as the minimum acceptable for 295/30-19 tire. For most 285/3X-19 tires it lists 9.5 inch as the minimum acceptable.

I was thinking about running 275 on my rear 220 wheels like you. How do they look and fit on oem 220's? I'm getting ready to buy tires but I don't want them to look ghetto or abnormal.
