It looks like something you get on the back of a Cornflakes box to cut out and fold to make a car.
And the comments on Shaq and his custom Caddys says it all for me. And it's not saying anything good about caddys. Does anyone on here actually thing a sports star or rapper has ever done anything good or remotely tasteful to a car??? If so please leave now and switch out your windshield for a slab of chrome with some nice tasteful diamonds trimming it. They'll go well with you giant rings and shiny chains. OOh and a nice tiger skin dash cover would be good too.
Fast isn't everything. And, sweet jesus, that car proves it.

Raise your hand if you would buy a high performance car from company with NO experence or history of producing such a car. I am waiting for the 4 second Kia.

Caddillac isn't that like a Lincoln

I know one thing that car will depreciate a whole lot faster than the M5. I wouldn't agree with the fact that they have no exp. though I mean the Corvette is also GM which has a lot of exp. and also has a very fast depreciation, and falls apart quite quickly. I also believe that M5 start out at 80k which is only 20k more than the caddy and very much worth it. I think most of u would agree with that. I also would not want to be seen in it, I would definitely be mistaken for someone that I am not.

You're obviously referring to the shape of the car there.

M5's have depreciated pretty drastically.

4200lbs is just too heavy. For the M5 as well. After 10 years in a 3800lb car (and lots of track miles) and the switching to my E36 for the track and now my 335i as a daily I am going to try to keep it around 3500lb max for my cars if possible. It really makes a HUGE difference in feel. We are getting into 850i territory these days.

I'm glad GM is building some world class cars again. It's going to take a long time to get back the respect it lost with the garbage-mobiles it built for the last 30 years. I still can't picture myself EVER giving up my M for a Caddy, but this is a good start.

Let me get this straight. You're saying that GM has NO experience in building high performance cars? Please tell me I've misread you.

I would if I couldn't rip out the interior.

Having said that I did put 2 smilies so people couldn't mistake the post for anything other than a joke post. Maybe I have to use 3 to be sure.

True but then wouldn't 99% of the population be driving Z06s'?

Congrats to the men / women in Detroit creating what it needs to continue improving in their brand. I don't own any domestics, but it certainly puts them on the map....esp the ZR1

The cts-v doesnt drive or perform like a boat. This car should change peoples views of caddy, they build real performance cars now.

Obviously Cadillac owners (in general would tend to be old) but you cant compare Cadillac owners abroad to m3 owners. Now if you could show me number proving that m3 owners are substantially younger then the new generation (09 and on) CTS-V owners then that would make some sense.

I think it's ugly, but it's been growing on me as I see them around town...Almost worth going to take a look at one just for fun! The performance numbers are impressive...

Saw one of these in person..exhaust growl is ridiculous and both exterior and interior looked pretty good to me...but I haven't driven it so I can't comment there.

I got a chance to test drive a CTS-V last week and by accident I found the most geriatric feature ever in a car. I was merging on to the highway and had my left turn signal on and I didn't realize I had it on for more than a few seconds until I heard an inexplicable chime. I start looking around for warning lights, maybe my wife forgot to put on her seatbelt, and much to my amusement we found that the chime is there to remind you that the turn signal is on. No amount of hip/cool adverts will change the stigma that GM brands currently have due to their backwards thinking.

So, you forgot to cancel your turn signal, the car reminded you, and that's a "stigma that GM brands currently have due to their backwards thinking."?

I don't get this at all.
