Engine malfunction warning

After driving 10 or so miles I got that on my nav screen. "Engine malfunction reduced power". The red line moved to 4k and it wouldn't allow me to go over 20 mph. I pulled over and cut the motor for 5 mins and it was all good. Check control read "all systems OK" as if nothing happened.

I've seen/read about people with this issue with a new tune but my engine software is original. Any ideas? Software problem? Didn't seem to be mechanical. Wondering if driving is okay.

^ What he said. Buy a code reader for about $80-100, handy to have. Or get a coding cable and figure out INPA, which will allow you to read codes and do a whole lot more, though it requires a laptop and a lot more effort.

Did it say DSC malfunction. I have that going on now. Been to the dealer three times for it. They are ordering parts from Germany. Limp mode is the worst feeling EVER!

Sounds like you need a new fuel pressure sensor. Part number 13537614317. Search for a DIY. Looks like something you can do yourself.

Why not just take it to the dealers?
