It's gonna look tits either way, bro, top up or down. You can't go wrong with 'em (unless you're planning on painting them a crazy color).

OEM+ is almost always classy.

I was thinking of picking up a pair and getting them finished in a gunmetal/anthracite color

Should look great. Might want to invest in a set of spacers for the front and rear, though.

Good point.

Would you happen to know the max/most aggressive/ most common tire size I can get on ZCP's (conservatively, no rubbing)?

You won't be disappointed. That's what I did weeks after I got the car as I don't much care for the silver ZCP with the blue color.

I will be installing a set of ZCP wheels in a couple of days on my 09 E93 M3 AW. Will post up pics after I swap out the TPMS!

You can go 255/275 quite nicely without spacers. If you are using spacers, stay with stock sizes. 12mm/12mm or 15mm front/12mm rear are the best sizes for spacers.

Some people have also opted for 275/30 and 295/30 which do fit, but are really not optimal for the ZCP wheel sizes. Also, the steering sharpness diminishes a little with wider front tires. There is always a trade-off for everything.

255/35 and 295/30 will also work and fit, but you will understeer a bit more with aggressive driving.

Finally, the ZCP wheels are not exactly the lightest, and bigger tires add weight.

Personally, I would opt for Apex PS-7 wheels with 255/35 front and 275/35 rear tires. Great look, great price and perfect sizing. Of course, I have also owned the ZCP wheels for over 3 years now so I am possibly looking for a change.

Anyway, for the OP if you need more pics for a vert on ZCPs you can check out one of my old threads. Unfortunately mine is not an ILB.
