If you're not new to Ms, this really shouldn't be a question you need to ask. :

Listen "Chachi" - dont get your knickers in a twist - do a search as mentioned above. This had been discussed many, many times before. You can find dynos, info about tunes and drop in filters etc on this forum very easily. Then you can figure out if its worth it to you.
Tons of people here have experience with it - I did 3 years ago |

Typical of a noob douche. Thinks he's too good to do any searching. Thinks everything should just be handed to him. Thinks he's reinventing the wheel with a car that's been out since 2006.

Search dude if you really have the car. Amazing options await.
If you are a troll, then go back to playing ps2 or wow in your mom's basement. |

Dont be a debbie downer, %99 of the population calls a tune " a chip ". There are many tune's out their for the m3, Search for it and you will find. Their are huge threads regarding your question.

I'll make this into a better thread than it should be... The issue, as I understand it, is that the programing is target based. So if you can't hit the stock target, say for ign timing, then what difference does it make to change to a higher target? So if you can't force the car to run more timing, then what do you do? Well does richening the fuel help - nope. Does leaning it out help - yes. How much is safe and under what conditions? I don't know - tuner's discretion. Is there power to be extracted from vanos tuning? Some claim there is. Are any safeguards removed from the stock programing? Important to find that out. What is the tuning philosophy? etc... You are looking at probably 8-15whp if the tuner knows what they are doing based on all the dynos I have seen here. Good luck if you are serious; if not, I hope you level up and get more purple items tonight. |
