Car is arriving at NJ port today or tomorrow. I really want the car and I think I'm going to pull the trigger but wanted to see what you guys think about 4k off MSRP before I go in.

That is good. Best I've heard is $1000 over invoice for 2009.

It is a finance. I'm putting 25k down with a balloon of 36%. The balloon is high because I have a high credit score so they can defer more into the balloon. The payment is 480 a month on the finance portion.

also the dealer told me this is about 1k over invoice by the time you add the training and advertising fees. He's throwing in the M3 floor mats as well.

Seems like a good deal to me on the car itself. I'm not necessarily a fan of the balloon financing but it does have it's benefits.

If you must do the balloon, why not put the $25K in a >3.9% interest bearing account and let it grow? It'll give you the biggest bang for your $$$ and you'll have some change left over.....I guess the downside to this is you'll have tax issues on the income earned...otherwise, seems like a good deal.

i'm in virginia too
northern virginia
flew up to buffalo, NY to get my car
picked it up
drove up to canada and saw the niagara falls (25min drive from buffalo)
and drove the car home

great trip
cost me 230$ for the one way plane up
as opposed to 800$ shipping on an open truck
was worried it would get stone chips or something
