It's been wrong plenty of times in the past.

So, you're saying that the sedan comes with a pass-through as standard (with or without the storage compartment?). If you get either ZCW or split fold-down seats then you will get the ski-bag.

I was answering the question about if the ski bag could be removed. Also, it seems that if you have the ski bag you will not have the storage compartment because it is either-or. But you can always remove the ski bag for the storage compartment. My question now is does the storage compartment come as standard?

There is an arm rest but it is in the middle seat back. You pull this down to use the arm rest, and also for access to the pass-through/ski-bag/storage compartment.

Right, true.

You know I am really not sure on that.

Yeah. At least that's what I think. Or what I thought. Now, I am second guessing it...

I just went and checked the 335i. It turns out it does have the skibag. Heh, go figure, I never really noticed. And I do see how the small removeable plastic tray holds the bag, and how it can also be removed. I never paid it much attention in the 335i because when I folded down the arm rest, its just plastic behind there and that's very different from my E46 where you immediately see the skibag. So I just didn't investigate. It turns out that its all very similar to the E90 M3 I have seen as well, except that it has a gray backing piece over it in back (facing the trunk) instead of being just black. The M3 one could have been different because it was preproduction though, dunno, or maybe it did have a backing piece and it was black simply because its an M3 and M3s always seem to get black-trimmed stuff.

I think that the compartment for sure comes as standard (well, by "standard", I mean, standard with the fold down seats). I think the ski-bag probably comes in there too (its located physically inside the compartment) but I could easily be wrong. But even if it doesn't, its really a minor thing. Its just a little nylon bag. I mean you could use a garbage bag in a pinch. The important part is that the hole (the passthru) to put the skis through will be there ZCW or not, as long as you get fold-down seats.

I suppose a bigger question is what you suggested above - is the passthru there for the non-fold-down rear seats as well?

Not yet, but eventually we'll leave a restaurant and they'll want to take the unfinished drinks they ordered (don't ask me why, but neither child can leave anything in a restaurant, cheap paper menus, drink cups, etc...) and both of them and my wife will give me that "what's wrong with you" look and I'll believe I'm being too anal (don't let down your guard) and I'll let them take the drinks home but ONLY IF THEY STAY IN THE CUPHOLDERS. I can control my OCD but only so much...

Funny Story (maybe not) but first day I have the car I'm driving my wife to work and she HAS to have coffee. Same things, it goes in the drink holder and she can't drink in the car. What happens? Two (OR THREE) drops slosh out of the cup onto the floor mat. I haven't even owned the car 12 hours! I spent 10 minutes with a wet sponge trying to find the drops. I couldn't find them so I figure all is well but now I'm paranoid. I figure at some point I'll see some all to obvious stains from where the drops landed and nothing will get them out. Sounds like nightmare material actually, they'll be huge 12"x12" stains that talk and turn putrid colors! Now I don't want to sleep. Maybe I should go look for those stains again.

I don't think anyone mentioned this, but very common on german cars. Slightly diff on M3.

When you get out of your car, depress the turn signal down and hold it for 2 seconds. It turns on your left side driving lights until you come back. THESE WILL STAY ON INFINITELY I believe.

Likewise if you crand the turn signal stalk to the right, the right side stays on until you return to your car. (front and rear in both examples)

Just discovered the mirrors can be folded up while traveling up to 15 MPH, not just when parked or rolling.

Can be useful when rolling past a turning car or other tight spots.

Wish it would do it any speeds. Never know when you might need to narrow up a bit...

A cool feature that I found which I hope everyone know is, when you hold the open button on the Key Fob for a couple of seconds (I think 5-10sec) all the windows roll down, but you have to make sure that you keep holding the unlock button. Also, if you continue to do so, the sunroof will open!
