New to me!

Been lurking for years....finally dumped my 2011 335d and got my dream car....2013 e92 m3, lemans blue, black leather, cf roof, dct, comp package....loaded. 24k miles, still stock everything. Its been 2 days and I am smiling ear to ear. My 12 year old doesn't want to do homework...just go driving with me

Tried to load pictures but says the picture needs to be resized?

Great choice on color and ZCP! It's a keeper!

I am interested on your thoughts compared to the "d".

They r definitely different cars. I would have kept the d forever if not for the mess bmw created by bolting on all the emmision equipment to the uber reliable M57. Since I live in California, abc delete wasnt an option so my out of warranty repairs just continued to add up.

For long highway driving, there is literally no substitute for a properly working 335d. Passing power at speed is absurd and it is virtually silent with no engine/exhaust noise. It is an autobahn cruiser. Daily driving around city roads the torque is addictive. The car lacks an aural excitement. I do think I would take a functioning/reliable 335d over a newer turbo gasser like an f80 or 340i. The mileage average was over 30mpg with a range of almost 550 miles while beating on it and my 2011 with msport package appealed to my eye. I understand these are personal opinions and wouldn't disparage anyone who disagrees.

Over the last 5 years I really yearned for that true driving sound along with the power. As the 335d became more amd more prone to having emmisions equipment break (over 96k when traded in) I test drove most every bmw. I kept going back to the S65 M3 as the only car I would smile the entire time I drove. Yes, the torques is less, but I really dont notice because it is driven is such a different way. The mileage is still shocking to me, but I will pay the price for getting that kid feeling again every time I get in the car. The smooth power delivery is intoxicating.

The 335d was a great fun responsible family car, my m3 makes me feel like a giddy kid again....and thats hard to do when your maried with 3 kids.

Congrats on your purchase!

Just a prewarning when comparing price....I am in california so my out the door price is largely inflated by high registration and taxes of almost 10%. My out the door inclusive of all fees/taxes/etc was around 54,500. There was some moving numbers around to save some money on taxes but that is about as close to my out the door overall cost that I can calculate.

They really worked with me to make this work so I am really super happy with my buying experience at CoastBMW. All thanks go to Marco! I have been looking for a long time but didnt think I would seriously jump in to buy a car right now. I was waiting for the absolute perfect low mileage 2013 e92 m3 that was still under original warranty for another year and has 2 years of cpo after that. This car is the exact optioned car I would have bought if money was no object in 2013. I wrote down what I wanted when I started looking and told myself I would only consider that exact car. Honestly, I really didn't think I'd find the exact color and options I wanted in my price range so it must have been destiny!

My son couldn't go to sleep last night. When the wife checked on him around 1030 and his light was still on, he told her....."Mom! All I can think about is the car in the garage....you don't understand how big of a deal this is for dad and me!"

haha...my wife came downstairs laughing

It does help on the homefront. Wife didnt didn't speak to me for 2 days. I guess when she says you have my permission...it means you have my permission but I didn't think you'd actually go thru with it...yikes! Having the kids excited about it has slowly smoothed things out When she came downstairs laughing, that was the first time she had a smile on her face when discussing the car....I am making progress!

Although it doesn't help when the 12 year old keeps telling her she should be jealous of dad's car...haha.

Congrats! My 8 yr old is like that. He is in so much love with this car and keeps talking about it all the time. He keeps comparing it to any sports car he sees on the road. When I am revving it up and having a wide grin on my face I look in the mirror and he is doing the same and tells me I love the way your car sounds. Unfortunately he wants me to keep it and hand it over to him when he is ready to drive. I need to start puttung away money starting now.

Thank you ! We are pretty similar I actually walked out the door $54,000 tax title and registration certified preowned and same thing with me,same options and everything I would've purchased if I was purchasing from new. I also have a seven-year-old boy who loves everything daddy loves including his cars. Before I bought the m3 I owned a cervini's mustang supercharged with 550 hp I sold it to put the money towards the BMW my son was devastated we couldn't do what he called "roller coaster " he would love when I floored the car and the supercharger would kick in I told him give me some more time and this car will be the same way . Its funny the way boys are they want to grow up and be just like daddy. Congratulations and good luck with the purchase .
