Had a great weekend with the BMWCC running the Ysil of the Dragon. The GoPro files are huge, but here is a short clip:

BTW, don't forget to bump up the resolution on YouTube when you pull them up. It defaults to 360, which looks like crap!

Nice road. The V8 sounds so good. The Tail of the Dragon is on my list of must drives.

It is really hard to capture the speed on a gopro, but we were moving. This car was absolutely glued to the road. I couldn't believe how well it did. Many other cars stopped at the end with their brakes smoking on all 4 corners. Mine were hot, but no fade/smoke at all. If you haven't run this road, you have to give its shot. I'll post some pics...

Excellent run. Did you mount the Gopro on the deflector or somewhere else?

I drove down there from NYC back in 2011 when I first got my then 335i. What an amazing stretch of road. I have been wanting to go back with my M3 but the drive there and back is just too tiring. To this date I proudly rock my license plate frame I picked up there!

For this run, the gopro was mounted inside, just under my rear view mirror. I had another with it mounted behind me and one with it outside the car. The outside one was great, but the wind noise was awful...

Here is the 0830 first run of the day with the GoPro mounted behind me. It was 28 deg and my PSS' were like rocks, so I was taking it pretty easy trying to build up some heat in them...
