weighs more, costs more, and requires more time to get around the ring than a GT3RS

Gobsmacked. But be good to have this option early in the product lifecycle, and across platforms (ie E90, E92).

This is the M3 LTW E90 that is the grand final of the M3 Sedan E90. The grand final of the M3 Coupé E92 will be the M3 CSL E92. I hope the best M car ever will be it, because for me, till today it still is the M3 CSL E46.

If this were to be a true csl heading to the states with 6mt and jet black, I dunno how to react, cuz my e90m is awaiting shipment....

I'll just have to reassure myself there'll be no ac, which is a big no no for socal.

You do realize that the GTS is basically a "more focused track oriented car" in the same vein as the 911 GT3, whereas the CSL was merely a lightweight version with track (tires), no ac, radio, and lightweight seats, and a mild bump in hp...basically the GTS is far more hardcore (I think the hp is disappointing).

I agree with the sedan "CSL" first then the coupe version...just read what Scott26 wrote

No. They are two different things. This is supposed to go into production. The showcase at the Tokyo show is a concept of things to come but will not go into production using the E9x chassis.

I agree the GTS hp bump is disappointing. As for the CSL, if you just look at a peak number you truly miss the real advantages. What you should look at is the entire curve. Nonetheless, 360 hp and 240 lb. weight savings equalled incredible performance. 32 seconds quicker around the ring is amazing (and that's against the quicker Euro M3). It took BMW punching out the M3 to 4.4 liters to beat it (and barely by a slim 2 seconds). Yes, disappointing is an extra .4 liters and only a gain of 30 hp. The M3 CSL is the same motor with slightly different cams, timing, and DME programming. Plus an incredible high volume ram air airbox and super quick shifting SMG II. BMW also lightened the exhaust considerably as part of the overall weight savings.

I hope BMW does create a killer E90 M3 but for sure it won't come to the States.

That can't be Interlagos Blue. It's hue of blue is too deep. Interlagos leans more to the purple side.

I have a strange feeling that this is a study in using Carbon Fiber for the panels of the car.
