Its one of the most hotly debated topics, probably because there are so many on the market. You should start with what you want from an exhaust. Sound levels, look, whether weight is a consideration and importantly, price.

Everyone will have their opinions. Searching and listening to the systems will be the best way to choose. Find what sounds best to you. I'd take a look at the Active Autowerke exhaust or Akrapovic. Good luck!

If your looking at doing a cat back Eisemann Race or Active have good sound to them. If your not on a budget and want something that sounds insane and can go from racecar loud to stock quiet the Innotech is AMAZING exhaust. I never get tired of hearing it.

It all depends on what you want to do with the car and what your budget is. The best advice I can give is to listen to some of the setups to really see which one you like the best. We have three types of systems for the M3: Sport, Hybrid, and Race. With those setups you can also choose from a single wall or dual wall tip.
