Dark place?
I'd have to agree. I've been keeping up with this site at least twice a day since the new m3 owners started talking. So yes, teach me masters.

No sense in me creating a new thread to say the same thing
I've been an active poster/reader over at IS300.net, but hadn't registered over here til today. Still driving the IS for now, but I'm going to pick up an E92 as my weekend car, assuming all goes well. Thanks for all the knowledgable posts. Keep it up! As for consuming my life, I already spend way too much time in the "Garage" section of is300.net. Once I started reading m3post and m3forums, I really started to find myself in a black hole. |

Nah
Black holes aren't consuming enough. How do you like your IS? I've got a relative trying to decide between the new IS and the 135. But anyways, back on subject. Anyone is AZ that cares to take me for a ride?? Please?? Anyone?? ha

I've loved my IS, but its the old-gen. I was deciding between a 335, G37 and IS350 for a little while, before I decided I'd rather wait a year and go for the M3. In that decision, I would think the main factor would be space... they are really, really different cars as far as size, and depending on whether the IS is a 250 or 350, power.
As far as going for a ride, head down to the dealer! Make a good impression, and although you might be young, they should look at you as a potential buyer. It wasn't out of the ordinary for jackasses wanting a free ride to head down to the Porsche dealership off my college campus and constantly get turned down, but I went down there and acted maturely... now the salesman checks up on me and sends me music every once in awhile even though he knows I live 1500 miles away. Worst comes to worst, grab a parent (or hell, anyone who looks like they can be trusted ) and take them with you. I generally wear jeans and a collared shirt to work, because I work in the oil industry and really don't want to get any crude on my nice clothes I went down to the BMW dealership here in KC, and while I admit it was really busy, not a single salesman showed an interest in talking to me. I grabbed a brochure and left. I've been talking to a salesman there for a few weeks now, waiting for a DCT to come in, and I plan on mentioning something about it when I go down to test drive it. Professionalism really varies from dealer to dealer (and brand to brand) and it seems like salesman are really afraid that they are going to be wasting their time unless you look like you're carrying the cash on you. Makes me sad. |

I completely understand.
Yes i already have taken a test drive of the m3, without a parent. Whether the employee was smart for doing this...i'm not sure...but i treated him, myself and the car with respect and things went well. I'm in love with this car. As far as the IS goes, that is cool i will let my family member know. I'm pretty sure he's already decided on a 135, but info is always helpful, thx. Oh, and collarded shirts, check prep school will do that to you. haha
