RAC Monolite Custom M3 Wheel Group Buy - Summary/Update with Pics
For all those interested in a top notch CUSTOM forged wheel specifically made to fit our cars here is your last chance to get in on the group buy. These will likely be manufactured one time only. This thread is essentially a short cut to the final 3D rendering of the wheel based on all the input RAC has taken directly from the forum on the wheel design - of course combined with their judgement, experience and final touches.
If you want to get in on the group buy it is just about to close. Send a PM to user shep01 or post your info here and he will get in touch with you. The basics:
Just to be clear: I am not a vendor. I have no financial nor other ties to RAC. I am just one of the fellows in on the group buy and wanted to offer this summary/reminder/short cut post for those interested.

I will know tomorrow if I am going to jump in on this group buy. How is the deposit working, paid in full? And, when are they expected?

I read through the looooooooong original thread but just to double check.
There are 3 choices of "black" colors: Satin black is the darkest, kinda like a matte black? Anthracite is the 2nd darkest. The semi-gloss makes is appear darker. Gunmetal/British racing gray is the appears lightest of the black colors b/c full gloss? Do I have this correct? -Brian

close....
Quote:
There are 2 different charcoals - one is called anthracite which has a semi-gloss finish so it appears a bit darker. The other is gun metal/british black and it is a mat finish and appears a bit more gray In the order you state it you are correct though - the black(s) is(are)__well, black and the others are lighter for sure in the order you state. shep |

Japan is cutting us off...
They are requesting a final count which I have given them today. I fudged a little to try and accommodate the stragglers but unless you are already talking to Chuck, you cannot be added after close of business tomorrow.

Yes, at least half of the group of 30 or so, who funded this effort, has ordered silver. If you look at the original thread, it is a gorgeous color.
I hope you "last minute" guys made it in by reaching Chuck a couple of days ago, and didn't procrastinate. This is going to be a very exclusive wheel.

This has been a useful thread. Thanks to Swamp for putting it together. Since the GP is officialy closed and the orders are locked in, I will close this thread as well to avoid having to parallel discussion threads on the RAC wheels.
