Talking RAC MONOLITE RG63 Group Buy

I spoke with Jesse at Champion Motorsport (jesseh@championmotorsport.com) about putting together a group buy for the E9X m3. RAC Monolites are made in the same factory as the Porsche wheel maker Champion Motorsport (and NEEZ wheels which sell for about $7,000 a set)

Jesse told me that Ralph of RAC (Ralph and Chuck) Monolite has been extremely busy but that Ralph would like to put a group buy together soon.

For those of you who are not familiar with RAC Monolite wheels do a little research. IMHO RAC Monolite wheels would be better than most (if not all) wheel options currently available for the e9X m3.

For those who have had RAC Monolite wheels or are familiar with them please chime in and let us know what you think.

I am posting this thread at Jesse's request. He would like to get an idea of how many people are interested in a group buy. The more people we have the faster we can get something going. Please chime in, and email Jesse at champion if you are interested.

What will they look like?

New design or ...

RG4s
RS110s

Whatever, they'll be one of the best available. Forged and under 20 lbs?

I had been inquiring with those guys for the last year. As you say, the quality/price ratio of their past products is extremely high. They are 10,000T forged in Japan. They also made the effort to get the perfect fitment and nice details to their designs. I paid less the $3k for my RG4s, but that's been quite a few years. I would expect them to be over $4k now, but very competively priced. You would have to be willing to wait a few months.

I would potentially be interested, but the exact design, sizes & price are all important factors. Hopefully in not just a CSL wheel, but has updates appropriate for the new car, similar to what HRE has done.

I might be interested in a lightweight 19 x 9.0/10.0 F/R set for the street priced at no more than $3.5k as a group buy.

I have spoken to Jesse myself and he mentioned RAC have not made an order over the past 12 months. Pretty much stated they have closed down.
You also have only 1 post on this board. Who are you?

As far as price is concerned: Jesse threw out $3,700 for a set (a rough estimate I'm sure). For what we are getting that would be an amazing price huh?

Design Details: Jesse gave me the impression that we could do a CSL style wheel like the previous version or go with a new design. So, at this point it sounds like it’s all up in the air.

For those that are truly interested lets flood Jesse's inbox and use this thread to help him understand that there's a large demand for e9X wheels. Email/post your size and style preferences. I'm sure majority rules when it comes down to production specs.

Bottom line: Jesse wanted to make sure we understand that our needs/wants will be fulfilled.

LOL! I would be a little skeptical too. I understand that my reputation is lacking (considering my new membership and the fact that I seem to be lobbying for Champion and RAC Monolite)

I am just an e92 owner who wants a solid set of race inspired (non-bling) wheels, and that has had a VERY hard time finding them.

Please shoot Jesse an email then post a response on this thread.

I would say your best bet is to email Jesse directly. I listed his email in my original post.

I would be interested in something similar (or identical for all I care) to the BBS RE-R which is currently only offered in Porsche 22". Simply stunning!!!

Would love to see this happen and will send an email. I am a fan of the RG4s, so something like those would be most appealing to me.

I'd say the P40s are a good updating of the RG4 look.
