Up late on a Thursday

I like to stay up late Thursdays. House is quiet, wife and kids asleep. Glass of wine.

I usually end up on Pistonheads looking at the classifieds.

I swear, if it wasnt for school fees I would add a 355 to the garage. I usually find I have a passionate desire for a car. I wanted an M3, I wanted a JCW. I want a 355, I want a Peugeot 205Gti 1.9 (had one when I was 19) and I want a Ford Escort RS2000 and a Mercedes 300SL Gullwing.

The question is, do Children really need that much education?

Put it this way you help them out, and ideally they should buy you the 360 when they graduate and start working. Hey they dont have any student loans so all the money goes in the 355/360 fund

I too like the look of the 355 and really like the sound, but unfortunately the maintenance costs are killer. $10k for a major service is pretty typical and that is just too much for a car that is worth less than $50k. 360s are not that much more money now and maintenance costs are less than half compared to the 355. They are more reliable and just a better all-around car. If you're set on a Ferrari I'd recommend waiting until a 360 or even a 430 falls within your toy budget.

I can relate, OP.

I have a HUGE desire for all sorts of performance cars.

LOL, all I think about is how I'm gonna work my way towards getting myself a garage full of exotics one day.

eh, you should put the needs of the family above your own. But that's just me... don't get me wrong, you should get things for yourself if you aren't compromising other important goals.

Respect also comes from paying your own way through college. What ever happened to working hard for scholarships or joining the military to help pay your college? Kids now-a-days just expect parents to pay for everything.
