Front wheel ticking noise
Yes another noise thread...
I just noticed this new clicking noise coming from the front right wheel. * It can be heard clearly with windows down. * It can be easily reproduced by driving slowly over bumps or just by turning the steering when not moving. Mechanic inspected every linkage and thinks it is from the strut mount. *Anyone had this noise? |

I had this happen. It was the aluminum brake shield on the inside of the rotor (im not techanical so someone help me out here if i described this wrong). Its thin and bends easily. If this is what it is its an easy fix you just have to bend it back

It could be a nail or a small peble in between the treads of the tire. Just check your tire for any foreign object.

I noticed that from my right front wheel on a downhill left hand turn on a track, turned out the bolts just needed to be tightened slightly. Check (when COLD!) that they're at 88 lb-ft / 120 Nm. Might not be your issue given the reproduction conditions, but can't hurt to check. Sometimes it's the simple stuff.
