the wood trim looks astonishing in person. the texture and the color of it is very structured and yet complex. it complements bamboo beige perfectly, which in turn complements interlagos blue perfectly.

M3 has been my dream car ever since i first lied my eyes on the white-n-blue roundel. when i picked up my 335 i remember telling my dealer my next car would be M3, for sure. having only test driven it once and only with DCT, getting in and sitting in my own M3 for the first time was an enchanting experience. for that alone, when you can pull the trigger on it, just do it.

The steering on the m3 is a lot heavier than the 335I, just not at parking lot speeds. I feel like I'm swerving all over the road when driving my 335 because the steering feels so light in comparison.

i figured i'd get this comment a lot. the problem is, when i get to 8000rpm, i'm already doing 80mph so there isn't further i can go from there outside the track.

M3 is a revver, no question about it. i never said it was slower than the 335. that would be quite a silly thing to say. i just said it feels slower due to its lack of low-end torque that is so addicting in N54/55 engines. you can't really refute that. having 300lb-ft available at 1200rpm vs at 3900rpm and not having the full HP until redline makes a huge difference.

i agree that the louder it gets, the better it sounds but i've always considered the quality of a speaker system based on how it can perform over a wide range of input signals and volumes. this guy just doesn't do it for me, especially at $1,900.
The EQ is a placebo in this $1900 disapointment of a Premium OEM system, IMO.

Nice M3 combo, by the way.

Not to sound like a broken record, but you do realize torque is multiplied through your gearbox right? Analysis has shown the M3 delivers more torque to the wheels at just about any speed.

BUT, and this is only my theory about what had happened, during my last maintenance service, i believe one of their technicians dented my front bumper. i was about to sell the car and so the only place i had the car was my garage. i had someone look at the car on sunday when the car was completely clean. after i drove it back after the maintenance on monday, the dents were in the bumper. again, i don't want to accuse anyone but i'm 95% sure it was weatherford.

i can update you once i go to concord.
Much appreciated. Looking to hear how BMW COncord's service Dept. is.

I'll be taking my ///M to Niello Sacramento sometime next week for its 1200 service. I'll update you also.

THX!
