That's one of the reasons I specifically got a moonroof. I didn't like how CF looked with that color at all (MR, AW, SG absolutely, maybe even SSII, but not LMB), plus I actually like being able to open the moonroof. Moonroof open plus windows down gives me just the amount of the convertible experience in terms of sights, smells, sounds (especially the engine), and wind that I want without all the drawbacks of a real convertible: needing sunscreen, inability to have a conversation over 65 MPH, tons of extra weight, softer suspension, weird aesthetics with the top up, etc. I recommend the moonroof if you're ordering.

And I agree that if you get a black interior (which I also recommend since the contrast is superb, though I haven't seen LMB with bamboo in person), aluminum is definitely the way to go; carbon leather just makes it look like a cave in there, and anthracite wood has no place in an M3 IMHO. A silver interior might look good too though if you want to get away from the black interior you've had but aren't sure about bamboo, though I've read there may be some discoloration issues over time and with jeans; can't remember if that was specifically the M3's silver interior. But black is still far and away my favorite; looks sporty and sinister, and will hold up best over time visually.

If you go LMB go with Black interior for sure.
I would go with Carbon Roof.

I went with a black interior, and I wouldn't change a thing. I get complements frequently, and I'm very happy with the color combo. I had considered Space Gray but it looked too bland in person, IMO. Like all darker colors dirt does show, but not nearly as bad as on black. Good luck you can't go wrong with LMB, and it's still one of the rarer colors on M3's.

- Do you have any regrets whatsoever, with your color choice? If so, what do you wish you'd done differently?

- Is the LMB easy to care for? I've seen posts that indicate that it shows up swirls fairly easily. Does it compare favorably to caring for, say, black (if you have that experience)? What about white?

I seem to have a little different perspective than most. Le Mans has a tendency to show dirt. It doesn't show as much as the Blacks, but it doesn't look clean for very long. Also, if you breath wrong on the paint, you will get swirls marks. I fashion myself as novice detailer with some pro skills, and the paint is really hard to keep from showing scratches and swirls. Naturally Grays and Whites won't show imperfections as much. I also don't believe Le Mans show the lines of the car as well. That being said, it does go very well with Carbon Fiber parts. Don't get me wrong, I still like the color. If I could do it all over again, I would buy either Mineral White or Space Gray.

- With the LMB exterior, what was your interior color(s) choice, and how do you feel about your decision now, if awhile down the line in your ownership?

I again seem to have another opinion here. Bambo and Silver interiors seem very "old fashioned" to me. I think the only option here is Black.

- What do others think of your color choice? Do you get compliments, etc.? (Shallow, I know, but hey, it matters to me--at least a little... )

The odd thing here is that I have had only a few people say anything about my car. Maybe I'm just not the most approachable person.

Other unsolicited advice:

Do not get a sunroof. The carbon roof is the best part of the car.
Do not get a convertible. The convertible is a pig of a car for girls. (sorry to E93 owners)
Non-powered seats weigh a whole lot less. I haven't missed having them powered.

LMB is tough to keep clean and IMHO shows dirt very fast after a good wash. I drive about 60 miles a day to and from work so thats part of it. Entirely worth it though, i sometimes second guess myself for silverstone when i watch it get dirty fast but all in all LMB is worth it when its shiny, just needs a little more attention to keep it that way.

Quick detailer is your friend.

Black interior is the way to go and definitely carbon roof. The contrast is awesome.

Sorry to hijack briefly, but would anyone please PM me if they have a spare front license plate bracket (painted LMB)? Mine has stripped screw holes. Many thanks!

OP, LMB is great but does show dirt rather easily. I think it's better than IB simply because it won't appear purple in any light. Black novillo and carbon leather looks great.

LMB is definitely not the easiest color to maintain. It shows swirls very quickly. Having said that its still rare enough to not be called a me-too color. It looks stunning in bright sun light. It looks okay on cloudy days. One thing that I think Silverstone or White shows very well are the black bits and pieces on the front of the car. With LMB, they somewhat blend in.

I bought my car used with a lot of hesitation towards silver novillo leather but it grew on me within a week and makes the car look classy on the inside rather than flashy. If I had to do it again, it would be a hard toss up between bamboo and silver.

Lately I have been driving my car more than before, and have been getting a lot of compliments on both the car and the color.
