You know what would be "special"? That 4.4L engine in a car that doesn't cost $130,000.

This is why BMW had to go with Turbo's on the M5 and HAS to go forced induction on the new M3. If they don't, all the competitors will eat them alive.
I'm all for a Turbocharged M3 and can't wait until it comes. Then the mod's we do will bring almost 100 HP instead of everyone arguing over the power gains of a filter and exhaust. - KJ |

This is indeed true. The halogen color ones look so outdated for a 2012.

The best part about that announcement was the music. I'm glad I bought into this company 4 years ago before they went totally insane. Before they started putting profit above ALL else.
I love this company but the direction hurts.

I disagree with most of you
I think these cars are very special I mean they're the only special editions launched this month I like the frozen red, but that's about it Let me guess The black grills, DCT, glossy CF trim And all the other usual crap on ALL the other "special" editions I think they mean special, like the special Olympics

M stands for Motorsport, doesn't it?
So in BMW's new marketing nomenclature we have: Motorsport Sport (M-Sport) Motorsport Performance (M-Performance) Motorsport-3 Motorsport Performance Hmmm... Last edited by CanAutM3; 05-09-2012 at 08:50 PM.. |

There was a time when the M didnt stand for marketing ,money grab. The E36 M3 LTW price was in the mid 40's vs low 40's loaded E36 M3 when new . http://www.usautoparts.net/bmw/models/m3_ltw.htm Last edited by US///M3; 05-09-2012 at 10:02 PM.. |

I'm waiting for the M3 328i Special Edition...smaller brakes and skinnier tires riding on 16" steel wheels; special "M 328i" black emblems; 5-speed manual; non-M steering wheel; and high quality vinyl seats. Special "Frozen Popsicle" color...faded "Red Raspberry". Only 30 copies will be available at a $15K premium. Be the first to buy one and post it on Ebay.
