Anyone go from an 08/09 to a 11/12/13 and notice the starter difference?

I was able to source a low millage 2011 starter for about 80 bucks.

So I followed the DIY on here today and popped it in.

Quite a different noise when starting the car no? Sounds like it spins so much faster.

I know its just a starter, and frankly there was nothing wrong with my old one... But the MSA (2011+) one sounds a heck of a lot better.

Left is the new 2011 one, right is the old one.

Isn't the new one beefier for the start/stop function?
