In my heart I want the Amuse Ericsson lol, but in my head I should get the Eisenmann.

Ok, which is better? (money is no objection to me)
If you dont like Eisenmann RACE exhaust dont even bother with Amuse since its a full Ti exhaust and it will be way louder than the Esienmann Race. Thus the Amuse exhaust set up includes the full section 1 2 and 3 so it will be very aggressive and loud. Also, Ti Exhaust is know to crack after a period of time, so its ur call.

If you confirmed to go with Sport version, let Nate know he can hook u up with one !

Yeah, I read and debated about the crack/brittleness of the Ti. Exhaust, but I think a Full Blue Hue Exhaust on the Amuse would be KILLER on the SSII lol. That is the main reason why I would purchase this. I think I will purchase it at then end of this month.

Great addition to a great looking M3 (looks like mine )

Brakes are the best mod a car owner can make.

Only problem I have with the Brembos is the price - there's no way (IMO) to justify spending over $7,000 for a brake upgrade not counting installation.

That's nuts.

Question: does replacing the system affect the automatic brake fade compensation or brake drying function in any way?

If you don't like a LOUD exhuast and a high DB, I'm not sure why you would consider getting the Amuse. In my opinion, if your main reason for getting the Amuse is because of the blue hue on the exhaust tips, I think over 90% of the population wouldn't choose to throw 10Gs+ for a "cosmetic" exhaust. If you are going for the blue, why not consider the Vorsteiner system which has the same blue hue at 1/3 the cost of the Amuse. Yet again, that's your money so I can't tell you what to do.

Another factor I had to consider when I got my Eisenmann race was how cops would feel when they heard this exhaust. I think the Amuse would easily crack 110dbs (as loud or even louder than a Harley). If an RCMP is behind you and sees your BLUE-FLAMED exhaust, only God knows what they would do next. In the best scenario you would only get a ticket. But if you ran into some a$$hole cop, it would absolutely suck balls if you had to bring your car to the station to be inspected, GG exhaust.

Just my 2 cents

Thanks for the post OC and congrats on getting the Brembos installed.

I got weight figures for the OEM setup from a catalog. It is quoting ~42 lbs per front wheel for the disc and the calipers. If you click on that link, you can see the breakdowns for the individual components.

Do you have the weight of the Brembos documented? If you do, can you share them please. We can compare them to the catolog numbers until you get a chance to weigh the OEM parts.

Perfect, Just for kicks, I'll also verify the OEM's against the quoted numbers.

PM sent.

swamp, I'm as anxious as you are to find out. Tomorrow looks like the day of reckoning.

I will be the first to admit if it was just the 100 octane, the cold, moist, night air, coupled with the adjustment to the sensitivity of the center pedal which clouded my judgment.

How does this mod affect the service info in the Idrive. Does it still correctly detect when pads needs to be changed?

The above-captioned statement is completely false. The OEM's are still packed in the boxes from Brembo. I do have a life and a business, and have been unable to set aside the time to weigh them yet as I had hoped.

Just what is your angle here swamp? Are you serious?

If you re-read my post you may notice that the word "feel" is italicized. As a refresher for you, writers will sometimes use italics to put emphasis on a word. You, of all people should realize that "feel from the seat of your pants" and "the real numbers" don't always correspond. This was an initial impression, not a spec or stat.

Let me get the systems weighed before you start the attack. As a reasonable person, I'll wait to see if the weight comparison corroborates/validates my initial impression or not.

OK Kid, I ordered the same brakes 380mm all around with 6 pot and 4 pot calipers etc…, etc….!! In any event, I was told that the brakes are lighter than stock, the compound on the rotors is different than the OE brakes, you know, one may have 30% of x and these have 45% of x and so on. I really don’t question that the Brembos stop better and reduce unstrung weight at all and I don’t think Brembo lied to me.
It would be great if you do weigh the brakes as I am very interested to know how much the OE vs. the Brembo weight is. Have you gotten around to doing that?

And finally, although weight all around is IMO less, it may be difficult to notice this in acceleration, although I should say that I “feel” improvement on several of the mods I´ve done but I think this is more of an imagined performance improvement rather than real. I try to keep myself objective on these matters namely by allowing professionals to elaborate on this or depend on actual speed traps etc… as you will, I think, always get into these arguments.

Brakes/car look great by the way!!

I think there is an obvious market for multi-piston calipers designed to match the (already superb) OEM M3 rotors...

I think that is probably correct, although again, Brembo GT kit rotors are larger and lighter and made of different elements (while still steel in general) that the OE M3 rotors, plus, the cost of buys just the calipers I suspect may be almost and expensive as buying the entire kit altogether. Don't know this for a fact though. I personally just rather buy the entire Brembo package is it was designed that way from the start and over years using there systems am conviced they do work better than the OE kits.
