LED Angle Eyes for E90 M3 facelift?
Does anyone know when the E90 M3 will get its face lift that will include the LED angel eyes like the 2011 335is?

Its not gonna happen at all for the M3s! Not until the 2014 next generation at least. I know, it pisses me off too! The new angel eyes are hot and I dont see why the did not give them to the M3 but what can we do.

I don't understand why BMW wont give the M3, at least, the LED angel eyes; does anyone have any logical reasoning for this?

True, but some u can at least feel...and see them, when u are walking up to your parked car...but u cant even see the angel eyes when ur car is parked. you gotta get in ur car, start it up, and then get out of the car again and walk back a bit to look at it...then get back in your car....whats the point of all that? if it comes stock then cool...ill take it...but having to shell out $300 bucks for a kit to make them LED and so other people driving on the opposite side of the road can enjoy them...NO Thanks!

Thank you, but I'm not sold on the ideology; LED Corona rings shouldn't cost thousands to implement.
They don't need to change the headlight design, just improving the lighting in it; if BMW can do so on a 328, or 335, they can on an M3 period.

I'm not trying to be an asshat; but doesn't it annoy you, a bit, that a 328/335 receive a far more thorough refresh, while the M3 got tails... I just can't see the logic, or is there some kind of tradition I'm missing?

because if they gave the M3 LED angel eyes (i.e. the newer headlights
they would have to change the front bumper as well to fit the new headlights i think that it also means they have to resubmitt the car for federal safety guidelines doesn't make economic sense for the M3 it does for the 328/335 i think this has been the case with all M3s i know it was for the E30, it never got the updated tailights of the E30 LCI |

Honda Civic M3 owners... Back on point- Does it cost something, yes, but I believe that the M3 should be able to benefit from advances in BMW's technology offerings. If LED lighting emits a brighter light, while concurrently using less electrical load, on the car, why not implement it? BMW implemented that Start / Stop feature, but said LED corona rings cost too much to implement...? At the end of the day, I'm still going to strive for an M3, but I'm annoyed as hell the M3 continues to get a half ass LCI update.

True, but you can hear them
I think the LED angel eyes look sharp. The current ones I feel add somewhat of a dated look to Ms since most of the new models come with the LEDs. IMO it was a major miss when they did the LCI update

Agree 1000%, just because we happen to fall into a "niche" with an elite type car does not mean that we don't need to be "sold" on new or even up to date tech, it should be included if not pushed for BMW elite customers i.e. M owners! |

The innards of the light housing, particularly the coronas, are completely different than our halogen lights. Updating the housing would necessitate updating the headlight shape, updating the shape would necessitate updating the bumper, and this bumper would have to be different than the E92/3 LCI bumper, given our cars' wider stance. It's easier for BMW to simply not update the front of the car at all as part of the LCI, which is the same approach the company took on the E46 M3.
