I'd love to agree with that for factory cars.. but not all M3s and definitely not all BMWs.

I have it on good authority that Henry Ford was really Henrick Von Fordeburg and he produced a Model T with racing stripes which he called his m3 version...later that car was reproduced by relatives in secret and they called it Bavarian Motor Works Tip Top Secret m3...the secret racing colours were then stolen by the Porsche group and the rest as they say is His Story
