does M3 GTS use a matte or glossy black front grills?

it's hard to tell, looks like a mix of both to me...

The GTS uses the M3 "edition" black chrome front and side grilles.

marwan - it uses 'shadow chrome' grills from the m3 'edition' models. You can also buy the matching side gills and even the exhaust tips in this finish - check this thread, the part numbers are in there as well:

Tischer says they don't think they will, they say the LCI coupe grills are different than the pre-LCI coupe grills (which the E90 uses).

The M3 Edition front and side grilles will fit all E9x M3 models but the sedan guys will have to remove the front black housing on the E92 side grilles since that section will not fit on a E90 M3 (I hope that makes sense

)

I don't think BMW Performance grills are chrome black, rldzhao. My set is just standard gloss black -- they look like jet black paint. The Edition grills that I've seen (in pictures) definitely have a more defined chromium appearance that gives the impression of an almost purple/oily sheen, similar to some wheels' hyper black finish.

I'm new to all this and therefor somewhat dumb, what front black housing, and is it easy to remove? Like real, I can't screw it up, easy...

I think Nate meant you cannot use parts A & B on sedans, but C (the black chromed part) & D work for both.

The m3 edition grills are black/chrome....whereas the bmw performance grills are glossy black. They do look similiar...but are different under different lighting conditions. Here's a pic of the m3 editions grills...

Are those all oem chrome black? If so I am interested because I thought the side grills only come in the black color not chrome to match the front.

BMW only offers the side gills in chrome (standard M3) and black chrome (Edition and GTS). Matte black and gloss black gills are only offered by aftermarket vendors.
