Question Just ordered a brand new e92 m3

Hey guys i Just ordered my AW 2010/2011 m3 coupe with CF roof. The dealership told me that he could hook me up with 2011 model becuase he didnt want me to stay behind lol. So he will let me know if he could get me a 2011 or not. He told me i will be having the car in two months hopefully. I have couple questions. First of all i chose Black novillo leather instead of extended novillo leather because he told me it is a waste of $1800 since it is going to be all black. Should i've gone with the extended nouvillo instead? Does it matter a lot along with the black interior. Also I chose the carbon fiber trim even though i was going to go with the aluminium one. Again he told me carbon leather looks better and more stylish. So basically i got the black novillo leather along with carbon leather trim. Besides the car is fully loaded with options like m drive package, executive pack, edc, dct and high gloss shadow line. My second question is what am i supposed to do when i first get the car.. Do i have to check it and poke around. Do i have to make a checklist etc? This is going to be my first ride and i am scared it will turn out to be a nightmare and i will be disappointed. What should i do?

PS: He told me he will hook me up with some free gears such as floor mats etc. What else should i expect?

Cheers!!

yayy a new M3 in Canadaa..

I would spend the time to basically look over EVERYTHING while its in the delivery bay. Ask for any and all accessories from the BMW catalogue that you want .

Black extended is not necessary

Enjoy the experience, you won't be able to sleep before deliveryy.. Don't drive it too hard for the first bit:
1) break-in period
2) that's a period when you're very likely to crash it if you go crazy

Hope that helps

Smart choice by not going with the extended leather. With the black interior, it would be hard to tell you have it. I got the carbon leather trim and all of my family and friends said it looks great.

When I got my M3 Coupe, I got the dealer to throw in a set of M3 floor mats, wheel stud locks, and touch up paint. They also gave me a 25% discount on the BMW winter mats, BMW cargo liner and cargo organizer I purchased at time of delivery.

And yes, for the first 1200 miles, it will be torture to keep the rpm's under the recommended 5500 rpm since the V8 is so willing to rev.

Thanks so much guys. Any other suggestions? Do you also think that he could get me a 2011 model? What about the competition pkg? I heard it is coming on 2011 models. Should i consider it as well? I am so excied and can't wait.

Carbon fiber leather trim is what i got as well. Also got it in my last BMW. It is the trim of choice in my opinion.

Definitely get the competition pkg, it is good for resale as well. What's the pricing of it in Canada? You're paying $2000 for the 19" rim package anyway, might as well pay a bit extra (instead of the 19" wheel pkg) and get the whole deal with the Competition wheels, etc. If you don't like them you could always trade with me .

What's the discount 2010 vs. 2011?

I m paying 100k for the car with pdi and taxes. It's fully loaded. However it might be couple thousand $$$ more for the 2011. My dealership told me it is not a big deal.

Wow, sounds like a spur-of-the-moment kind of thing. I like it.

Really nail him to the wall on if it's a 2011 or not. The 2011 competition package (ZCP) is the way to go, IMO. Just search on here to see the style of wheels you get compared to the stock/premium factory ones. Agreed about the non-extended leather, but if you're into black interiors, I think the aluminum trim with black is pure sex.

I have it, and in all honesty there's really no point.

Good for your brother, congratulations. About your points, everyone's correct....with black leather the extended option is a moot point. Go with the Competition Package (and therefore a 2011 model). And the carbon fibre trim is perfect with black. Sounds like the car is going to be a killer!!

I just picked up my E90 M3 last Saturday and the dealer gave a $150 gift certificate for parts, BMW all season mats, regular mats and M3 mats.

And I got the car at invoice minus the $1500 Holiday Cash BMW was offering.

Congratulations, although an 11 model sounds like a bit of a bluff, donīt think that is possible. Anyway, just the same, congratulations I think you will love it.

Revised DSC/EDC, short springs (10mm), and GTS-Look wheels for the competition package. In pictures I also see the carbon-fibre splitters & carbon rear lip spoiler, but that may be just BMW accessories.

I guess for ///M car discount it depends on how many allocation slots they have. I know some dealers were offering a substantial discount on leftover 09s a few months ago. But if all your dealership is allocated is a small amount and they all get turned into sold units very quickly then don't count on a discount. If you wait till end of 2010 production u could probably get a landed unit with a discount. As it stands with your order, even if they say no discount I would still shoot for $1000-1500 minumum.
