worse comes to worse, you send in toasted rotors/pads back to FCP and get a new set for street if it doesn't work out?

I'm going to offload a set of PFC08s for stock calipers soon.

I had a very good experience with ds2500 as a dual purpose pad. It does squeaky every now and then on the street but it can handle the heat on track.

What tracks are you running? On an easy braking track like Roebling Road or Willow Springs Int'l you'd likely be fine. If you're talking Watkins Glen or Road America, definitely not. They'd burn up very quickly with NT01's.

I'm based in Atlanta so typical tracks I frequent are Road Atlanta, Atlanta Motorsports Park, and Barber.

Did you get the DS 2500s?
I fitted them to mine several months ago, but have only done 1 (cold, 5-10C) track day on them so far, no problems there.
They've been great on the road so far, with just that cold 5C day in November giving any issues, where the 1st couple of presses needed quite a bit of effort!

PFC 11 and 08 compounds for track. 08 compound is more of an endurance compound. 11 has more initial bite, higher temp rating, higher friction and higher wear rate. I prefer the 11 over the 08.

Carbotech XP12 is a great track pad and works well with their 1521 street compound. XP20 outperforms the XP12 in all categories but may over power the tires without aero.

Once you start doing summer track days, you'll find the DS2500 fading pretty quickly. I've only done wet track days with DS2500 on my M3, but on my turbo FRS that I track I run XP12 front and XP10 rears. Previously I ran XP8 front and rear on that car and noticed that I would get fade near the end of each session. With a much heavier car, you will need at least an XP10 for warmer track days.

Though it also depends how much brake you are using.

Oh well, as long as they last better than the stock pads, that'll be fine by me.

Btw, thanks for the replies guys, but you didn't say what make pads you were talking about.

This is definitely an important point for all to consider.
