2008 BMW M3  [7.90]
Speed District: 4/14/2013 Willow Springs Raceway (3 HR Track Time & more)

When: Sunday, April 14, 2013
Where: Willow Springs Raceway (Road Course)
Racing from: 8am-5pm
Drivers Meeting: 7:15am (Sharp) Try and get there before!
Participates Accepted: 60 (That is it, no one extra will be accepted.)

Your run group goes on once a hour, you should be literally getting two track days in one. All the cars around you are high end automobiles, and the owners do not want to scratch/damage their cars just as you don't want to. The incredible opportunity to receive private driving instruction from our professional driver (Jordan Yost) will be available on the registration page. If you're a beginner on the track, he will jump in the car with you, teach you the proper breaking points, teach you the line and assist with issues/questions/help/etc you may need;they are there for you. Even if you are a professional and just need to shave some lap time off, he will be able to provide very useful advice as they do this for a living. We will include a photo CD ($65 value) & timing transponder ($20 value) in your general admission fee. You can see your car in action and receive some AWESOME pictures of your car on the track. (Examples: Click here)

Reserve your spot before they are all sold!
Event Registration: http://speeddistrict.com/item/events...april-14-2013/

Most of our members are from M3Post! You are guaranteed to have a blast! Whether you are a beginner or a professional driver, our events are for you. This event is properly spaced out and broken down into different run groups (by skill), so you will feel at ease on the track. You'll be safe and surrounded by good company.

General admission will include THREE hours of track time, transponder rental and photography cd.

Feel free to ask any questions, I will probably answer them or someone that has been to our events before can.

Example of the pictures from our last buttonwillow event: http://www.flickr.com/photos/6868450...7631670068795/

Hope to see you at the track.

I think I'm going to go to this. It'll be my first ever track event.

Any suggestions on preparation for my car?

And what all do I need to bring? Besides myself and my car.. ?

This is my daily driver so I wanna make sure nothing goes wrong.

All feedback welcome
Thanks

Sweet! The M3 is pretty much track ready. If it's your first track event, I think you will be fine in the stock form!

If you want to upgrade your fluid, pads, you can. You can also run track tires for more grip. The one thing you didn't mention but you probably have is a helmet. If you don't have one, you can rent one.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

I'm trying to gather as many M3s possible so we can have some photos taken, compare the mods, etc.

Josh

I'm really considering going.

What fluids and what pads should I run? If I go. And can I run that same fluid and pads for daily driving?

Also, I'm still under warranty for maintence. Do u think the dealer will know I tracked my car and void my free brake jobs and fluid flushes?

Kwike,

I just took my M3 to the track at their last event for the first time.
I was in 100% stock brakes/suspension/tires... Minus the VF620 kit. I can tell you that even with the extra horsepower, the stock components are pretty great. There is ALWAYS room for improvement, but since this is your first time, I suggest learning the car in it's 100% stock form.

My rotors were, however, completely fucked after the event. I am also still under the maintenance plan and when I took it into the dealer a week later, they replaced all rotors/pads under the maintenance program. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me.

My dealer didn't seem to care that I tracked the car or supercharged my vehicle. All maintenance has been done with no questions asked.

So see you on April 14th. Prepare to meet all your fellow E9x buddies and get some tips. We are all rather friendly... most of the time.

kwike - you will probably be ok with stock brakes if you do a proper "bed-in" procedure first. See this:

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=396763

Otherwise uneven pad deposits will form quickly and cause vibration under hard braking.

6 out of 13 cars registered are M3s.

If Ariel is coming and I count myself.

It'll be 8 out of 15 cars being M3s!!
Lets try and get more M3s
