weathertech mats
Thinking of getting the weathertech mats or floor liner... then using the regular sh!tty OEM rubber mats in the winter.
Any one have any insights on which one is better? to protect the actual carpeted flooring! |

I have the OEM BMW weathertech mats that I intend to run year round. They are awesome for the grooves made in them with directional pattern so the water doesn't slide off of them. In winter of course they will be handy but I intend to have them in the summer too to prevent debris etc from getting everywhere.

Don't quote me but the BMW floor liners are Weather Tech products with BMW tags.
Edit: I do not work for WT but love their products. All weather mats or floor liners - can't go wrong! |

That's correct, the BMW ones are indeed WeatherTech. They simply affix a BMW emblem (or xDrive) instead of the generic WeatherTech one. A high-quality product made right here in America. If you're in Chicago, pick them up in person at the showroom -- it's a cool place with an old-school CSL on display!

Weathertech mats
I have them. Very nice, protects the interior AND it stops things from sliding around.. like shopping items, boxes, etc. items like that.

I just upgraded to the BMW rubber mats. They are heavy! I can't wait to use them in the winter. My only problem is, I have an e93 and bought a e92 ones and the rears don't fit. At least the fronts are the same.

I wonder if mats from an E93 non-M would work. Is the floorpan different on M cars?

guys, if you buy the WeatherTech version, buy the Floorliner model. Their regular "All-Season" mats are same as the OEM mats, but the Floorliner model provides the best coverage.
Floorliner: OEM & WeatherTech All Season Mats:

I would probably second that, at least if you live in a snowy area where a lot of salt gets used. I didn't realize they had two versions, but I have what seems to be the all weather version, and every winter keep accumulating a nasty salt stain.

I like the all season mats better than the BMW mats available from the dealer. I have both and both are fine, but the all season mats are thicker and trap the slush better. As for the floor liners they tend to slosh the slush around and can get on your pant cuffs if you're not careful.

Having used the floor liners for a month or so now I can highly recommend them. I have the BMW version which has BMW logo instead of Weathertech but as stated they are the same thing. Snow will be coming down shortly and I will know about their proper durability but so far in rain they have been great. The water/debris doesn't slide off of them and it's able to hold it all quite well.

Yes, mine are listed as a 335i floor liner and it fits perfectly. I use them if I'm gonna be dealing with large animals / boots / mud. In fact I have them next to the car and use my m3 carpet mats and just lay the floor liner on top of it when needed and remove it right after. Works well and doesn't slip even without things holding it in place.
