E92 dyno results!
Hello guys, well after a much needed dyno i finally cruised to AA to get a dyno for my M, the mods are listed in my signature and the dyno sheet will be posted asap, waiting for the shop to email it to me. What do you guys think, i know mustang dynos read somewhat lower. I was told the power being made was just about right and pretty good. The car made 354whp, cant remember the torque but i'll post the dyno sheet soon.

Seems low even for a mustang dyno. My car with oem exhaust mod, Turner Test pipes, OETune and drop in filter made 375whp on a mustang.

This seems to be more in line. The tune/exhaust mod alone should give you at least 30 whp from what I've seen and read. 330-350 seems to be the baseline run for these cars ..weak or strong. Am i wrong in this?

What's the conversion from the mustang dyno to a dynojet?
I got 354 WHP with Akra axleback and drop in filter on a dyno jet. So curious to see the comparison with equivalent dyno readings.

The conversion ranges from nothing less to a little less on the Mustang. Since it varies, I would ask AA what they typically find as the difference.

Im told these results would be equivalent to 375 on a dynojet, i was expecting more whp but it seems these cars like to run rich. I'll post the dyno sheet as soon as i get it from AA. The car didn't seem to pick up any whp running leaner. The xpipe seems to make a big difference, i was told they dynoed another m3 with their axle back exhaust, intake and pulley with a whp of 321.

Stock m3's get around 325-330 on our dyno. The only thing that matters is the difference between your stock number and the post dyno number. A +25 Whp gain is excellent compared to the best stock m3 run we have ever had. |

The car feels really strong and that's what matters. The curve is very smooth and consistent, the torque is very linear which yields a good track car. Very happy with the work done at AA , they always keep the cars making peak Hp with safety as a priority.

Appreciate your comments viral, like always, left happy from your shop, wanting more though lol. The car feels really crisp and powerful, punch in any gear and it just pulls hard all the way.

I decided to go ahead and do a couple of dynojet runs, for the sake of comparison and to help future discussions about the whole mustang dyno vs dynojet dilemma. The car made 396whp with 286 tq on the dynojet and 355whp with 254 tq on mustang.

STD and SAE increase or decrease the UNCORRECTED dyno output that your car is actually making under the current weather conditions to a uniform weather condition so results are more comparable to results from across the country or world. This is necessary because a car makes more power at 30 degrees than at 100 degrees F and vice versa.
SAE is just over 2% less than STD. SAE is the more common method of reporting. Both are just mathematical calculations applied based on air density and other weather factors. If you know one, you can determine the other. Your 396 rwhp STD works out to about 387 rwhp SAE, which is about right for tune, catless x-pipe, pulley and filter. Some cars do a little better, some a little worse. The octane gas you use can make a difference. You can compare in the Dyno Database. |

I'm confused OP. The dyno sheet you posted appears to be comparing two different cars, 19 days apart. Is that right?

My car stock on the Active Autowerke Mustang Dyno made 334 whp which(back when we did this in early 2010), Omar told me was the highest number they had ever seen on a stock M3.

I'll be done with the mods once the meth injection is ready and tuned, aiming to get about 400wph. The car was very consistent, all three runs yielded exactly the same 396whp. The only problem seemed to be on the low-end, the air fuel ratio was crazy and it's definitely felt, the car hiccups. I'll probably end up getting PROcede to fine tune these small areas and also to tune for the meth injection.
