Besides, if someone likes Alcantra so much, go find an alcantra streering wheel and replace it. If it doesn't exist, get over it. |

After owning a ZCP E46 M3, I would never do alcantara ever again.

Tii = 135 Tii concept.
My friend does a little sideline business importing various UCC components and brought this in for me. IMHO, the stock wheel is a little too thick for my liking (thus affecting road feel a little) and the Nappa leather stains a little too easily. In our Singapore weather, the N-leather can get a little soft and grimy, especially if you have sweaty palms like me. The Alcantara SW is meant, for me, as a track day SW, not an everyday one. Anyways, the origins of this Alcantara SW could be from the CSL that was brought over into the 135Tii Concept, but i'm not too sure. And yes, it has the M tri-colour stitching... cheers http://www.bmw-sg.com/forums/interio...g-wheel-3.html |

I love the original Smooth Thick Leather E92 //M3 Wheel too. I also Love the Alcantera Wheel like the one I have now in my E46 M3.... I changed the Original Leather M3 Wheel to the OEM CSL Alcantera Wheel after my Leather Wheel got Worn Down.... I would like to eventually get the Alcantera Wheel in my E92 M3 but not immediately... I really love the Original Thick Leather Wheel and wont change it at once, I would however like to change it once it gets worn down. Im going to do the Suade Headliner in my E92 M3 just like how I have it in my E46 M3... IMHO The Alcantera Wheel Goes great with the Suade Headliner, Pillars & Rear Deck! Quote:
Im Wondering if you can use the Same Alcantera E46 M3 CSL Wheel on the E92 M3 and use the E92 M3 Air Back and Parts! Would that work??

but you could try and bring your E46M3CSL SW and try it on the E92M3. Changing the SW is relatively simple and this test switch should take no more than 20-30 mins. good luck... cheers |

I like Alcantara . Having said this, maybe the steering wheel is not right for street use. But please give us the option of having Alcantara in the roof lining, seats (at least part, like in the middle), shift and e-brake boot, and even covering the top of the dash.
BTW, any pictures of that steering wheel with shift lights?

I love alcantara, looks, feels really nice. However, I think a least a few other alcantara touches are a must in order to tie it in to the interior.
