Props to VA state trooper!
On my way back from work as I was merging onto I-95 from the local express way I got my speed a bit higher than I should have and got pulled over. Officer asked for my license and indirectly complemented my E90. Turns out his a big m car fan. We chatted about m3s and other BMWs and he politely told me to be careful as he handed me my licence back. Told me he himself owns an 840i.
Always had great respect for law enforcement, but this was over the top!

Good for you, Yugo. Being courteous pays off on either end of the ticket spectrum.
For me, I've about 5 to my name, but should have 10-12. I mean TRULY......for more than just speeding, mind you (don't ask). Suffice to say, go-to-jail sh--. Yup. Anyway, my 5-6-7 breaks came on the front end of my driving years, so thank you very much Maine State Troopers. Not so much since, though. So, to the relatively heartless (just kidding!) Florida and Georgia Po-Po that got me? Love y'all too........maybe next time you cut a homie some slack. And if - God forbid - you see Yugo in that nice-ass M3 engaged in an infraction, please give the man a break. He's earned a couple/few more. |

You rarely get let go without a ticket because most of the cops working traffic have quota's or "suggested amount of tickets" in a shift. They are rewarded for being revenue generators, promotions, etc. The cops who are just cruising around, but not specifically working traffic, and stop you because you were speeding or whatever are more likely to let you go.
