WeatherTech Interior Mats?

Anyone have these? Are they worth trying out? I went on their website and it's only $180 for the "laser fit" mats and $100 for their all-weather mat system.

Can anybody chime in on their quality, fit, worth, usefulness? Also If anybody has contemplated getting them or already has them, what are the major differences between the two mats?

I'm always curious why people want these in their luxury cars. I can see having them in a pickup truck on farm duty, but a BMW? It's easy to shampoo the carpet mats once a year or something, then replace them every couple years if you want for $100 or $125. Plus, I see you live in TX--not exactly the Midwest winters or the Seattle rain for 8/12 months of the year. Carpet mats are just so much...nicer. Granted, i could see putting them in the back if you've got kids or carry the family dog.

I'm just curious, that's all. I've always seen ads for them and wondered if anybody has them. I've noticed that my car gets dusty and dirty fairly often, so maybe this could be a solution for an easy(ier) clean-up? I could be wrong. But yeah, most likely, I won't get them and just purchase new mats when I need to. Also, no family yet (fortunately) or dog (unfortunately)! It's a tiresome task to have to go find a carwash with free vacuums and clean it out every 2/3 weeks.

why rush to judgement and hang the OP on buying non-OEM mats? He's obviously asking b/c he can't keep up with the cleaning of his M mats...

OP, while I've never purchased Weathertech mats before, don't let these "tacky" and "clean it yourself" comments deter you. Your lifestyle and how you use the car is completely different than most other owners' M3s which are garage queens and are only driven to starbucks in their new BMW logo'd Pumas so not to dirty their cars.

Personally, what I do is just repurchase new M mats every few years while cleaning the mats everytime I wash my car. I don't even shampoo them, I just vaccum and then hose it down and line dry it in the sun.

I am contemplating buying Weathertech mats for my X5 though, it's our adventure vehicle and gets lots of mud and dirt in there. It's a PITA to wash the carpets after every hiking trip.

Carpeted mats get ruined by road salt. I like the BMW OEM rubber mats for winter. Had 'em in my 330i. Cheaper and don't look as tacky/aftermarket IMHO. They are made by the same company that makes the Weathertech ones.

I have them and love them, the digifit is great. I find that they hold in debris much better than any OEM mats because of the raised edges. I actually had the dealer throw in a set of OEM mats with my car so that I could turn around and sell them to offset the cost of the Weathertechs. I ran them in all my Audi's and run them during the winter on the M during ski trips. I don't have any pictures, but I'd highly recommend them!

At least for the E46 ones, it said "Made in the USA by MacNeil Automotive". The E90 ones look the same so I assume so. Someone will need to examine the packaging.

MacNeil is WeatherTech, i.e. WeatherTech is MacNeil's retail branded mats. So yes, Weathertech makes OEM mats for BMW, not surprising they are similar to WeatherTech branded mats. Though WeatherTech has developed premium versions under their own brand.

I've used them in the past and like them. Not on m3 but fit is perfect and can hose them off to clean or use rush for dried on stuff.

I have them Front Back and Trunk..

Love 'em. Try having a passenger spill a whole coffee or whatever. They fit nice, stupid easy to clean and protect more than OEM fiber mats.

...however ..they dont look nearly as good as OEM with ///M Logo.

Hello guys! Yes I do have them and they are great. I don't drive the M in the winter, but I do have a stone driveway. These mats collect any debris the gets caught my shoe treads. Highly recommend.

this is a shill post. 1moremod is a fanboi of Team Seattle Tudor team, which is the sister car of the other Alex Job Racing Weathertech sponsored entry, driven by Cooper MacNeil, who's dad owns and runs WeatherTech/MacNeil Automotive who is a sponsoring partner of his track instructor, who is the team manager of the Team Seattle entry, which for some reason doesn't have a single WeatherTech logo on it

954Stealth can attest to this AJR relationship

I noticed they didn't ask you for advice after their gearbox broke down and was taken out of the car.

Someone should tell those pit girls that the bra goes underneath the racing suit.
