E92 Coupe trunk size holds 4 wheels/tires?
Hi,
I have a 335i coupe now, but I've never loaded it with tires before. Does anyone know if the M3 coupe will easily hold 4 wheels & tires with the seats folded? Thanks! |

Only if you're willing to trash the interior

Don't have concrete advice, but it definately won't be "EASY" if at all possible. Heck, you can't even put 2 tires in the trunk(without seats folded down). |

Hope you have some beach towels!
I've transported all 4 of my 19's, 3 in the trunk with seats down and fourth riding shotgun, wrapped in a beach towel and seatbelted in. It's possible with no passengers.

I put three in the back seat and the 4th in the trunk when I go to the track.
Narrower tires might fit 4 across in the rear ( I have 4 - 275/35/18's). I bought tire wraps to put on the tires to keep it clean when they are in the car or being stored. When I put the rear seat down they did not fit laid on their sides. I needed the vertical space of the rear seat. this way I had more trunk space open and the passenger seat was also open.

Should fit just fine, just have a lot of protection for your interior.

No problem at all, I get 4 285/30/18 in the car for track events. I stand 3 up in the folded down back seat and one lies flat in the trunk. I got tire covers from tire rack and a long come along strap from walmart which I run from the luggage hooks in the trunk around the tires to keep them from landing in the front seat when I brake. I even have room for my luggage, cooler, and track tools. I could take a passenger with me and their luggage too, plenty of room and no trashed interior. I'm taking my wheels to the tire shop next week for new rubber (again), I can post a picture after I get them loaded if you like.

No problem at all. 4 wheels/tires is nothing. Fold your rear seats down and protect the interior with a blanket or something.

Sounds like it's not a problem but not that much fun. I haven't taken the 335i to the track & I've never put my snow tires in the car for transport, so I just wanted to know how bad it is. My old A4 was really easy to pack with 4 tires flat in the trunk & folded back seat with plenty of space for tools/jack/brake supplies/etc.
Thanks for all of the replies. |
