ZCP and Spacer Sizing

I have a 2011 on the way with ZCP and I plan on swapping the wheels for OEM 19's (got ZCP for the springs - check for sale section for the ZCP wheels). In switching, my goal is to keep the offset exactly the same or very close to the same, so the new EDC mode works properly while getting a wider stance and look that's achieved with spacers.

Since the ZCP wheels are .5 inch wider, I figured that 12mm spacers all around would get this done. 12mm = .472 inch. I'm thinking this would compensate almost perfectly for the .5 inch rim difference and widen the OEM's the same as if they came with the car and I added the spacers. Plausibility check... Does this sound like I figured this right or am I missing something?

Only way to be certain is to measure when the M arrives.

That being said, can't wait for the MY11s to start arriving. If you would like to bring it by our facility, we'll perform the necessary measurements as well as installation for you so the info can be provided to the forums.

If the offset is the same on the 9" wide ZCP wheel as the current 19" 8.5" wide optional forged wheel, the ZCP wheel will only stick out 0.25" (6.35 mm) more. We'll need to know the offset of the ZCP wheels before you will really know where you'll be. The press photos don't give the appearance that the wheels are pushed out much from what I can see.

Just swapping the ZCP's for the OEM 19's should result in a setup identical to stock non-ZCP correct? Or is there possibly a change in width related to the axle etc...

Other than being 19" and that they could be wider at the rear than the forged OEM 19", nobody knows exactly the offsets or any other OEM spec on these ZCP wheels yet. So any guessing on how that will change the current OEM 19" setup will be just that, a guess.

It looks like the ZCP offsets are 31 / 25 compared to the 29 / 23 of the stock 19's - a 2mm difference. Am I correct in saying that spacers that are 2mm shorter than stock would yield the same result. So:

Stock 19" + 12mm spacer = ZCP 19" + 10mm spacer

If this is right, I'm guessing 10mm front and 12mm rear spacers would be about right on the ZCP wheels. Any thoughts?

If you mean the ZCP only needs a 10mm spacer instead of a 12, wouldn't the ZCP offsets be 27/21?

Not quite correct, but somehow will have the same result.

There's 6mm added as well to the offset -half of the 12-13mm/0.5" added to the width of the ZCP wheels compared to the OEM 19"- so in reality the ZCP offsets are 4mm (6mm - 2mm offset difference) higher (lower numerically) than the offsets of the OEM 19".

Therefore:

Stock 19" + 12mm spacer = ZCP 19" + 8mm spacer

I would go 10mm spacer in the rear (ET9) and a 10mm spacer in the front (ET15) with the ZCP for a flush fender look...
