I ordered one. I had the Rogue Engineering clutch stop on my E46 and it was awesome.

I'll try out this mod. Cheap enough that if I don't like it I can always remove it.

That's was my motivation from the beginning. And ended up liking it so much.

Seems expensive for a rubber stopper. Someone needs to come up with the Home Depot solution like was done for the E46. I bought the RE clutch stop for my E46 and it was great and made a huge difference, but it was adjustable.

It seemed expensive to me as well, but I just don't have the time or energy required for a DIY right now.

Don't think so. Cause I don't have any problems starting the car at all.

I got one ordered...crossing my fingers...hoping my car will start...I took out the factory rubber stop and it looks like you don't really need to take off the bottom dash, you can just get under the clutch and install it from there...

I have a 'natural' clutch stop the way I sit and use my left leg (foot perpendicular to calf) . Can't stand driving with the knees all bent, almost touching the dash. I can depress the clutch all the way by extending my foot, but seldom have to. And yes, car starts fine.
Having said that, I wouldn't like to limit clutch travel for those times you're having trouble getting in gear (like it usually happens in cold weather with a cold tranny), when depressing the pedal further solves it, but to each his own. Good day gang. |
