Best RPM for Launch?

What do you guys think would be the best rpm to rev it to, to get the best launch time?

M-DCT has LC set as 5,500 RPMs i believe so i guess thats the best RPM?

BMW should know best - except on an MT car its prolly easier to control wheelspin at something lower, maybe 3500 to 4500?

DCT default is 5500. The driver can change this in increments of 100 rpm +/- 500 rpm, IIRC. So 5000 - 6000 is what BMW uses for DCT LC.

Launch control is set at 5500rpms but you can adjust it up or down 500 rpms...so that gives a range between 5-6k....so that must work pretty well for the 6MT too?

I was trying it out last night around 3000 or LESS and I had too much wheelspin?? My M3 is 6 MT and have been trying to find the perfect dose. When trying last night, I would get wheel spin from 0 and a little into second gear. Help out guys! >.<

3500 minimum wheel spin, dont ditch ur clutch too quick. MDM mode is good, or DSC OFF. it also depends on how cold ur tires are maybe? i get spin shifting to 2nd, and shifing to 3rd and a bit in 4th

I would say 3,500 also, I recently launched at 4,000 with DSC off and smoked the tires up to second gear, then second. You would definitly need warm tires for a good launch, even after you get out of first, under WOT in second you can still spin the rear tires.
