Great blog/posting. Wonderful machines!

Driver's Edge and COTA will allow a convertible (918 Spyder at $850k) to drive, but BMW CCA won't allow a BMW M3 Vert on the same track.

Yeah, I'm bitter.

It is due to their different insurance policies.

Thanks, Denis. I was ready to roll out and the photographer decided to start shooting. Who am I to argue? He got some great photos of the event.

Hey Jay,
Sorry I missed you at COTA and thanks for sharing. Looks like there were some stupid-fast M3s running per the other COTA thread. How were your times?

I'm heading back to TWS with TDE on Jan 24-25. I need Scott and Sally's notes as Sally is running sub-2:00 there. Hopefully, I'll have my ST-60 kit by then.

Hope to run with you more in 2015.

My best was a 2:40.25. I was set to log a few quicker laps, but either got caught or fell in behind a train. I'm going back to COTA with MVP in February.

I'll be at TWS PDS mid January with Scott and Sally. I'm planning to follow her as much as I can. Maybe some of that speed will rub off!

I liked the pics. I've been passed by that Ferrari Challenge car a couple of times. That thing is ridiculous.

All you need are my notes. More gas. Less brake. Close eyes.

You're welcome.

She is running 1:58.9 at TWS, and her rolling is 1:58.1 and theoretical is 1:55.6. Losing massive time in 5-6 and 13-15. That is with about 2 sessions after we sorted out dampers. Now she needs Ortho's aero.

I'm pretty sure you can do sub-2:00 on street tires. 50% is a mental hurdle...50% is throttle steering and not throwing out the boat anchor. Especially in T13 CCW.

The trick is going to be getting a good and traffic free lap.

I have NT-01s and MCS singles since my last CCW TWS event. I'm still scared of turn 1 and need better stoppers, but no excuses. Probably just need to hang out the back more like you, huh?

Are you still tracking as much in Texas?

Braking into T1 on stock brakes can definitely be a brown moment. I did overshoot T1 one time in my E90. The BBK will help immensely there. The key is T13-15 in either direction. Failure to trail brake deep into those turns is probably what holds most people back from the 2:00 mark...especially CCW.

Haven't been in TX since April. Not sure if/when I'll be back. Would like to come back but we'll see.
